AMU-Fyn is seeking 2 vocational teachers for the construction and civil engineering sector

Are you a civil construction worker (anlægsstruktør) or a sewer/drain master (kloakmester), and would you like to use your professional expertise to educate the professionals of the future? Then it might be you we are looking for.

About the job

You will teach at both vocational education (EUD) and labor market training courses (AMU). Your students will be apprentices, skilled workers and unskilled workers, as well as employed and unemployed. The teaching will primarily be within the construction and civil engineering sector, where you have the opportunity to apply your practical experience and professional knowledge. If you have teaching experience, it is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You will receive thorough onboarding and the possibility to follow an experienced teacher. In time you will be required to complete a vocational-pedagogical education during working hours. You will become part of an academically ambitious educational environment, where collaboration across the school's subject areas provides opportunities for sparring, development and new ideas.

Your profile

We imagine that you

• Have a professional background as a civil construction worker or sewer/drain master.
• Have solid experience with outdoor areas, paving, sewer systems, excavations and the work environment.
• Have experience with maintenance and new construction as well as knowledge of relevant machines and preferably the green transition.
• Want to work with people and share your professional knowledge with others.
• Are curious about new teaching methods and dare to challenge yourself.
• Have good IT skills and work carefully with documentation and course objectives.
• Are patient, collaborative and good at maintaining an overview in a busy daily life.
• Can motivate students and course participants and understand their varying prerequisites for learning.

The most important thing is that you want to use your professional knowledge to make others more skilled. We will help you develop your teaching competences.

Employment terms

The positions are permanent full-time roles of 37 hours per week with commencement by agreement, preferably in December 2026 or January 2027.

Salary and terms follow the applicable collective agreement for teachers at labor market education, etc.
