An attractive and rare position as pedagogical leader at Christianshavn Fritidscenter – Inner City

Are you passionate about leadership and professional development and about in collaboration with the management team, staff and partners creating the best leisure-time offering for older children and adolescents? Then you may be the right candidate for the position.

The Leisure Center is pedagogically, organizationally and financially well-functioning with a high professional level. In 2026, the Leisure Center has a particular focus on developing a pedagogical learning environment that supports the well-being, relationships and communities of children and young people. In addition, there is ongoing focus on retaining the oldest children in the leisure club, the school collaboration, and the development of the center's two UngeVærker (Youth Works).

Fritidscenter Christianshavn - Indre By is part of the Leisure Cluster Indre By/Østerbro (IBØ), which also includes Fritidscenter Østerbro Nord. The Leisure Center serves approx. 1100 children and young people aged 10-17 and is located on four sites, two of which are for the Leisure Center’s UngeVærker for youths up to 17 years old.

Due to the size and complexity of the center, there are two pedagogical leaders who share the leadership – some leadership tasks are shared and others are distributed. Applicants should therefore be willing to and see opportunities in a close shared leadership with the current pedagogical leader on the overall leadership task. You will have primary leadership responsibility for a large site in Indre By – including, among other things, personnel management, organization, professional development and operations.

The distribution of other areas of responsibility and leadership tasks will be decided in dialogue after hiring.

• You prioritize proximal professional leadership, feedback and sparring
• You thrive with and prioritize close collaboration with the cluster leader, the management team, staff and parents
• You are good at networking and see value in further developing the good cross-disciplinary collaboration with the area’s primary schools and other partners
• You have an interest in and see potential in shared professional development at many levels – in the leisure center, cluster and municipality
• You work systematically and structurally with development and solution of tasks
• You have basic IT skills and an aptitude for learning new systems
• You see administrative tasks as a natural part of the task portfolio
• You preferably have experience from leadership of the leisure area

Conditions of employment

The employment area is the City of Copenhagen. Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the current collective agreement. In the event of employment, criminal records and child protection checks will be obtained and references will be taken.
