About the job

Several of our skilled and valued colleagues have retired, and therefore we now have the opportunity to invite new energy into a strong and well-functioning community. The position is permanent and available from December 1, 2026 or by agreement. We work with a wish plan and offer both the possibility of a limited workload and individual agreements, so work life and private life can go hand in hand.

Here, the anaesthesiological core task is the focal point – and we cultivate it with high professionalism, curiosity and pride. We create a daily life where pace and variation are a natural part of a safe and collegial working environment. We prioritise professional development, challenges and learning, as this strengthens both the quality for patients and the job satisfaction for us. We believe that a strong community and a high level of professional expertise are the foundation for thriving and succeeding – every day.

About us Anesthesia is part of the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Kolding Hospital. We are a unit with a strong and engaged team consisting of 39 anesthesia nurses – of whom 5 are specialty leads - as well as 8 anesthesia trainees, 3 service associates, 1 clinical nurse specialist and 1 educational lead.

Kolding Hospital is a primary/acute hospital, and around 70% of our activity in Anesthesia is acute. We serve 5 surgical specialties: organ surgery, gynecology/obstetrics, orthopedic surgery, spine surgery and vascular surgery. In addition, we provide anesthesia for ECT treatments, DC conversions, MR scans and dental treatments, just as we handle tasks across the hospital’s clinical departments – including trauma calls, critical calls as well as internal and external transports. It gives a busy and ever-changing daily life with a wide range of challenges and a broad spectrum of tasks.

Education is a natural part of our core task. We have a large educational obligation to anesthesia trainees, introductory and main specialty training doctors, prehospital personnel, etc. Our learning environment is characterised by high quality, interdisciplinarity and simulation training as an integrated part of daily life.

  • is a specially trained anesthesia nurse
  • has a strong professional engagement

  • contributes positively to collaboration and task solving across professional groups

  • is reflective and aware of one’s own behavior in the role of a professional role model.

We offer you
