About the job
About the job
Rudersdal Properties is seeking an architecturally qualified project manager for strategic space planning, development of the municipality's physical framework and furnishing of workplaces, institutions and other municipal buildings.
You will be part of the Construction Team, which is responsible for planning, development and implementation of the municipality's building and renovation projects.
We are looking for an architectural profile who is motivated by creating coherence between users' needs and the physical framework.
You have experience as an architect, building designer or consultant and have worked with interior design, workplaces, user processes or development of buildings. You are curious about how physical environments can support wellbeing, collaboration, learning and the core task, and you are motivated to translate complex needs into concrete solutions.
The position is for you who thrive at the intersection of strategy, analysis, development and project execution, and who want to influence the development of the municipality's buildings across the entire property portfolio.
About you
A central part of the role is working with strategic space planning and space optimization across the municipality's properties. You will analyze needs, identify opportunities and translate them into concrete interior and development projects that create value for users and the organization.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the use and furnishing of the municipality's buildings. In collaboration with colleagues, users and management you will create solutions that support the municipality's needs and ensure the best possible use of the physical framework.
You will work closely with schools, day care centers, the disability sector, cultural institutions and administrative units to understand their needs and translate them into well-functioning and future-proof physical environments.
Your main tasks will be
- Strategic space planning and space optimization
- Development of interior and usage strategies for the municipality's buildings
- Project management of smaller renovation and refurbishment projects
- Architectural advisory and sparring across the organization
- Analysis of building usage and development potential
- Dialogue and user involvement in connection with changes to physical environments
- Task solving in collaboration with special schools, the disability sector and other disciplines
- Handling ad hoc tasks and concrete interior design needs
- Supporting management and employees through data and analyses of building usage
Depending on your competences and interests there will be opportunities to work with development areas such as universal design, sustainability, design strategies, digitalization and IoT.
We work with quality management and high professional standards. Knowledge sharing, cross-disciplinary cooperation and shared responsibility for task solving are a natural part of our daily work.
Your profile
You have a construction-related education as an architect, building designer or equivalent relevant background.
We imagine that you
- Have experience with space planning, workplace design or development of physical environments
- Understand the interaction between users' needs and the buildings' functionality
- Can translate analyses and strategic considerations into concrete solutions
- Thrive in dialogue with users, leaders and professional partners
- Work independently and in a structured manner
- Have good collaboration and coordination skills
- Communicate clearly and professionally both orally and in writing
- Are curious about new solutions and development opportunities
It is an advantage if you have experience with CAD and/or Revit.
You must be prepared to work in a politically led organization where priorities and framework conditions may change continuously.
Why you should choose us
With us you will have the opportunity to work with some of the municipality's most exciting development tasks within the use, furnishing and optimization of buildings.
You will become part of a department with high professionalism and a strong collegial community, where we work across professional boundaries and share knowledge with each other. At the same time you will have great influence on your own tasks and the opportunity to shape the development of the municipality's property portfolio.
In Rudersdal Municipality we prioritize employee wellbeing, work environment, quality and competence development highly.
About Properties
You will become part of the Properties Department in Properties and Areas and report to the team leader of the Construction Team.
The Properties Department employs about 35 staff and is responsible for a property portfolio of around 400 buildings with a total area of about 300,000 m². The portfolio ranges from listed and conservation-worthy properties to modern, DGNB-certified buildings.
The department works with new construction, maintenance, energy optimization, property operation, leasing and strategic development of the municipality's buildings. The staff represent a wide range of professional backgrounds, including architects, building designers, engineers, administrators and lawyers.
The Construction Team is responsible for planning, development and implementation of the municipality's building and renovation projects. We work closely across disciplines and solve tasks across the entire property portfolio, from strategic development projects and space planning to refurbishment and construction projects.
You will be employed in Properties and Areas with work location at the Town Hall in Holte, close to Holte Station.
