Are you a mechanic – and would you like to try something different?

At Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality's Road & Park, you will experience a different kind of mechanic’s day. Here you work not only with one type of vehicle, but with everything from vans and trucks to machines and other equipment.

We are looking for a mechanic for our workshop in Tarm, where you will face professional challenges, take responsibility for your tasks, and have the opportunity to use your trade broadly. You do not need to know all types of equipment beforehand – we will help you get started. If you want, there will also be opportunities for upskilling or further training.

A daily life with variety and freedom

You will be responsible for service, maintenance and repair of our vehicles and equipment. The tasks vary according to needs, and you will have the opportunity to plan and prioritize the work yourself within the operating tasks.

You will also become an important sparring partner for colleagues out in the field. When they bring equipment that is giving trouble, you should quickly be able to establish contact, ask the right questions, and translate their descriptions into something you can troubleshoot further. They know the operation – you contribute the mechanical expertise.

As winter approaches, you help prepare the equipment for winter readiness.

Who are you?

You are professionally curious, enjoy finding solutions and thrive in a day-to-day where no two tasks are necessarily the same. Your background can be different – the most important thing is your mechanical understanding and desire to learn new things.

We imagine that you

• have experience with mechanical work, preferably with vans and trucks
• care about quality and good craftsmanship
• are good at fault finding and finding practical solutions
• can quickly establish contact, listen, and ask questions
• can prioritize your tasks and collaborate with different professional groups.

You must have a driving license category BE. If you also have category C, that is a plus.
