About the job
Can you make numbers make sense, create an overview and keep track of the details? Do you thrive with responsibility, and take pride in tasks being followed through to the end? Then we have an exciting, newly created position in HR and Strategy in Frederikssund Municipality.
We have launched an ambitious effort to reduce sickness absence and strengthen well-being and presence at the municipality's workplaces. An important part of the effort is to create better structure and systematic handling in the daily work with sickness absence.
Therefore we are looking for an experienced administrative employee who is skilled with data and can help our managers create an overview, keep track of deadlines and ensure that agreements are followed up.
You will be part of the HR and Strategy department, but you will work closely with leaders at the municipality’s workplaces – initially especially in the day-care sector.
Your tasks
You will have an independent role where you both work with data and ensure that the administrative tasks around sickness absence are resolved properly and on time.
You will, among other things, be involved in
- Work with data: Pull and process sick leave data, identify patterns in the figures and present them in clear tables, graphs and reports that leaders can use in their work.
- Create structure and overview: Support that the municipality's sick leave guidelines are followed, and that there is a timely response and follow-up.
- Coordinate sickness absence processes: Prepare and call for sickness absence meetings, book meetings, prepare minutes and ensure correct journaling.
- Keep track of deadlines and agreements: Follow up on deadlines and coordinate with relevant functions on timely registration and handling of sickness absence, e.g. in relation to sickness benefit refunds.
- Improve workflows: Use your experience to see where we can make things simpler and smarter, and take the initiative for improvements.
You work closely with the managers, but they remain responsible for the dialogue with employees and the management decisions. Your task is to ensure that the administrative framework and processes function.
Who are you?
We imagine that you are an experienced administrative employee who is comfortable with Excel and thrives with both delving into data and taking care of the many practical details.
We place particular emphasis on you having
- Competencies in Excel and data processing and the ability to work independently with large datasets. Experience with pivot tables, data visualization or BI tools is a plus.
- Structured and meticulous work, with ease in creating an overview – even when many tasks and deadlines must be handled simultaneously.
- A sense of how workflows can be improved, and you take initiative when you see something that can be done smarter.
- A friendly and collaborative approach, but also persistent. You dare to approach a manager when a deadline is approaching, and you follow up on agreements without losing the good relationship.
- Take responsibility, work independently and have an understanding of confidentiality and correct handling of personal data.
You have a relevant administrative education and experience with administrative tasks. It is an advantage if you have worked with personnel administration in a municipality or another public organization.
What do we offer? You will be the focal point in a new support function, where you will be responsible for creating overview, keeping track of processes and helping to design good workflows.
You will be part of the HR and Strategy department, which works with HR, occupational health, leadership and organizational development as well as strategic initiatives across the municipality. We are 9 people with different professional backgrounds. We value an informal tone and a good collegial community. We help each other, share knowledge and maintain a good balance between professionalism, collaboration and good humor.
Terms of employment and application
The position is a two-year project employment at 37 hours per week, with start on January 1, 2027.
You will be employed in HR and Strategy in the Center for Politics and HR. Your primary workplace is at the town hall, Torvet 2 in Frederikssund, close to the S-train. You should also expect to work at the workplaces you support. A car and driver's license is therefore an advantage.
