About the job

Do you have natural calm, strong relationship skills and experience with residents with

developmental disabilities? Are you motivated to create meaningful activities and contribute to the

welfare and development of the individual resident?

Then perhaps you are the educator we are looking for at Solgården?

Solgården is seeking 1 educator.

Solgården is part of VHAP - Adult, Disability and Psychiatry and is an activity and social contact service under the Danish Act on Social Services §104.

We are looking for 1 new colleague for a permanent position of 37 hours per week with starting on 1 January 2027.

Working hours are primarily daytime, with about 8 fixed after-hours shifts until 17:45 or 19:00 distributed over 12 weeks. The work hours are mainly during the day, but a few evening events may be expected during the year.

About Solgården

At Solgården we offer activities and social communities for adults with

developmental disabilities and significantly reduced physical and/or mental function. Our residents

are between 18 and 75+ years old and have very different needs, resources and diagnoses.

Some residents have extensive support needs, require personal care or may, from time to time,

exhibit outwardly challenging behavior. Many have communication challenges, which places high

demands on the staff's professionalism, relational work and the ability to adapt communication

to the individual.

We are 25 engaged staff members who together support 50 residents.

The residents are distributed across six groups with different activities, goals and participation options.

We are in an exciting development phase, expanding from five to six groups. Therefore we are looking for a new colleague who wants to become part of our new group.

You will be part of a small team consisting of three staff members around one resident. Two staff members are always present with the resident, while the third performs a fly-jumper role across Solgården's other five groups. The fly-jumper function is rotated among the team members according to a schedule, so that everyone contributes to the task. You must be able to see yourself both in a fly-jumper role and as part of a three-person group with one resident.

Our new group currently consists of one resident, and we expect more residents to join over time. Therefore we are seeking a staff member who thrives with both structure and development, and who is motivated to be curious about each resident's wishes, needs and potential. You must be able to see the value of close relational work and thrive in a daily routine where you work closely with one colleague and one resident.

Our professional foundation

We base our approach on the individual resident's needs, wishes and prerequisites and employ a wide

range of pedagogical methods and tools in our daily practice. These may include KRAP or visual communication through pictures and Boardmaker, Low Arousal, screening,

structure and predictability in daily life as well as sensory integration.

We work according to Holbæk Municipality's shared view of the citizen. The citizen view is about meeting residents (and colleagues) with respect and curiosity. That we are easily accessible and listen to

residents and each other before we decide on solutions.

We will be good at involving each other across core areas when meaningful, and we must dare to try new ways to create the best possible solutions.

Residents should experience that we are one united organization.

The staff group has also completed KRAP training, and we continually work to translate and develop the methods in our pedagogical practice. You will,

as our new colleague, also be offered KRAP training.

With us you get

-An exciting and varied job where you make a concrete difference in residents' daily life

and quality of life.

-Committed and professionally skilled colleagues who value collaboration and sparring highly.

-A high degree of responsibility, independence and opportunity to influence how tasks are solved.

-A workplace focused on job satisfaction, humor, well-being and a strong collegial community.

-A good working environment with high professional ambitions and room for development.

-Ongoing professional sparring and external supervision in the team.

We are looking for a colleague who

-Has experience with the target group and understands the importance of strong relationships in the

pedagogical work.

-Works structurally and can create overview in a complex daily life.

-Is both mentally and physically robust and can stay calm in challenging situations.

-Is flexible and thrives in close collaboration with residents, colleagues and relatives

-Can work in an appreciative and professional manner with a basis in Solgården's professional values and

Methods.

-Has experience with or interest in electronic documentation, including follow-up,

status descriptions, development plans and measurement work (knowledge of Nexus is an advantage).

-Has a driving license (category B) and is prepared to drive a disability bus.

-Has good collaborative skills and at the same time can work independently and take responsibility.

-Sees caregiving and nursing tasks as a natural part of the pedagogical work. For example, you would also go out for walks with residents.

-Would be able to thrive in a group with only one resident as well as a group with up to 12

residents.
