About the job

Adult Interventions seeks an Authority Advisor

Are you passionate about finding the right help for citizens and supporting them to succeed in their own lives? Do you want to be part of a team where professionalism, open dialogue and collaboration are in focus? Then you may be one of our new colleagues.

We are seeking two authority advisors for the adult area on full-time with start on December 1, 2026. Experience with social work is an advantage but not a requirement. You may be a recent graduate or experienced – we value your motivation, professional curiosity and your collaboration skills.

About the job

We work with citizens over 18 years old with disabilities, mental disorders or social problems. As an authority advisor you must ensure that citizens receive the right support based on a comprehensive social-psychological assessment and with reference to applicable law and the municipal service level.

We use the professional system Cura Social and are well underway with implementing the Adult Assessment Method (VUM). You will receive an introduction to both, and prior knowledge is not a requirement.

Your tasks

  • Assessment based on VUM: You identify the citizen's functional ability, resources, desires and support needs in dialogue with the citizen and possibly with relatives.
  • Case processing, decisions and communication: You make concrete, individual assessments and make reasoned decisions on, among other things, housing support, accompaniment arrangements and housing services. You communicate the decisions understandably and align expectations with the citizen within the law and the politically set framework.
  • Follow-up: You, together with the citizen and relevant partners, follow up on the impact of the intervention and assess whether the support should be adjusted.
  • Co-creation and rehabilitation: You collaborate with the citizen on solutions that strengthen independence and support rehabilitation and prevention, with a view to networks and civil society.
  • Coordination and collaboration: You create coherence in citizen pathways in collaboration with, among others, housing services, local services, psychiatry, the job center, Ungeporten and the Prison and Probation Service.
  • Development: You contribute to improving our practice and developing the authority area with a view to citizens' needs and societal developments.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has interest in the adult area and authority work.
  • Meets citizens with empathy, respect and curiosity about their perspectives.
  • Has good collaboration skills and can work constructively with a wide range of partners.
  • Works independently and in a structured way and can maintain an overview in complex citizen pathways.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Has good IT understanding and a desire to work with digital solutions.
  • Is open to new tasks and contributes with engagement and good humor.

Your new workplace

We are about 20 employees in the team and up to 70 colleagues across the department. We prioritize knowledge sharing and quality in task execution and have an informal tone where we help each other.

We emphasize good relationships with citizens, our partners and each other. It is crucial for us to succeed with the core task.

We offer

  • An exciting and varied job with opportunities for professional development.
  • Thorough introduction, whether you are a new graduate or experienced.
  • A mentor and ongoing follow-up on your onboarding.
  • Close sparring with our professional coordinator and colleagues, as well as the possibility for supervision.
  • Opportunity to influence the development of the authority area and the continued implementation of VUM.
  • Flexible working hours and focus on balance between work and leisure.
  • A strong collegial community with engaged colleagues and great job satisfaction.

Do you want to help support citizens to succeed in their own lives? Then we look forward to hearing from you.
