About the job
Adult Services seeks authority advisers
Are you passionate about finding the right help for citizens and supporting them to succeed in their own lives? Do you want to be part of a team where professionalism, open dialogue and collaboration are at the center? Then you might be one of our new colleagues.
We are looking for two authority advisers for the adult sector on a full-time basis with start on 1 December 2026. Experience with social work is an advantage but not a requirement. You can be newly graduated or experienced – we place emphasis on your motivation, professional curiosity and your collaborative skills.
About the job
We work with citizens over 18 years of age with disabilities, mental disorders or social problems. As an authority adviser you shall ensure that citizens receive the right support based on a social-educational holistic assessment and with reference to applicable law and the municipal service level.
We use the professional system Cura Social and are well on the way with implementing the Adult Assessment Method (VUM). You will receive an introduction to both, and prior knowledge is not required.
Your tasks
•
Assessment based on VUM: You assess the citizen's functional ability, resources, wishes and support needs in dialogue with the citizen and possibly relatives.
•
Case processing, decisions and communication: You make concrete, individual assessments and compassionate decisions on, among other things, housing support, companion schemes and residential offers. You communicate the decisions understandably and align expectations with the citizen within the framework of the law and the politically set boundaries.
•
Follow-up: You, together with the citizen and relevant partners, follow up on the impact of the intervention and assess whether the support should be adjusted.
•
Co-creation and rehabilitation: You collaborate with the citizen on solutions that strengthen independence and support rehabilitation and prevention, with an eye to networks and civil society.
•
Coordination and collaboration: You create coherence in the citizen's journey in cooperation with among others housing facilities, local services, psychiatry, the job center, Ungeporten and Kriminalforsorgen.
•
Development: You contribute to improving our practice and developing the authority area with a view to citizens' needs and societal developments.
We are looking for you who
•
Have an interest in the adult sector and authority work.
•
Meet citizens with empathy, respect and curiosity about their perspectives.
•
Have good collaboration skills and can work constructively with a wide range of partners.
•
Work independently and in a structured way and can maintain an overview in complex citizen journeys.
•
Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
•
Have good IT understanding and a desire to work with digital solutions.
•
Are open to new tasks and contribute with engagement and good humor.
Your new workplace
We are about 20 staff in the team and up to 70 colleagues in the entire department. We prioritize knowledge sharing and quality in task solving and maintain an informal tone where we help each other.
We place importance on good relations with citizens, our partners and each other. It is crucial for our success with the core task.
We offer
•
An exciting and varied job with opportunities for professional development.
•
Thorough introduction, whether you are newly graduated or experienced.
•
A mentor and ongoing follow-up during your start.
•
Close sparring with our professional coordinator and colleagues, as well as the possibility for supervision.
•
Opportunity to shape the development of the authority area and the continued implementation of VUM.
•
Flexible working hours and a focus on work-life balance.
•
A strong collegial community with engaged colleagues and a high level of job satisfaction.
Would you like to help support citizens in succeeding in their own lives? Then we look forward to hearing from you.
