Autism area - Shielded department in Nørre Alslev seeks a full-time pedagogue

We are a group of colleagues who for many years have been employed to look after the well-being and development of residents in the protected ward. We are a department where we are good at looking after each other and each other's well-being. We have low staff turnover, as well as low absence.

Residents in the Protected Ward are characterized by a large need to withdraw from the world while being able to be cared for, therefore they participate in 1:1 offers, where there is an opportunity for calm and shielding. Residents need help and support for personal hygiene, self-care, regulation, contact with relatives, experiences and similar. The residents' sensitivity means that in stressful situations they can become outwardly aggressive in their communication and behavior.

In the department there live 6 men aged 30-60 years, the pedagogical approach is inspired by TEACCH principles and has predictability – overview – visualization and safety as keywords.

The working hours cover the whole day, as well as weekends and on holidays.

Every year the residents go on camps and holidays, which we expect you to participate in.

You must be able to engage in close cooperation with relatives, various case workers and various municipalities.

You must be able to do daily documentation through the residents' registrations, action plans and similar.

You must be able to formulate yourself both orally and in writing.
