At Nova Cognitus we operate 12 large digital platforms in housing, commercial and jobs across Scandinavia and Europe.

We live by data. Therefore we are seeking a technically strong student assistant who will help build our next generation of data engines and AI solutions

AI is an integral part of our business, and we are seeking an Automation Engineer , who will take technical responsibility for developing and scaling the company through AI and automation - an area we are already working on intensely.

This is not a role where you get a backlog handed to you. You identify opportunities yourself, define the projects and drive them from idea to implementation.

The role

You will be responsible for developing the systems that make the company faster, smarter and more scalable.

This includes, among other things

• Development and implementation of AI solutions across the organization.
• Design of automations that eliminate manual processes.
• Scaling data collection through AI-driven workflows.
• Development of AI that automatically identifies, analyzes and corrects errors in our data.
• Development of internal tools, AI agents and integrations.
• Technical responsibility for architecture, quality and the long-term direction of our AI platforms.

Who are you?

You are first and foremost extremely structured.

When you encounter a problem, you do not jump straight to a solution. You analyze it, find the root cause, break it down into concrete tasks and build a solution that lasts.

You thrive with ambiguous problem statements because you can create the structure that is missing yourself.

You naturally take ownership, work independently and follow projects through to completion. You do not finish the work when the solution works – you finish it when it is robust, documented and can be scaled.

We imagine that you

• Have a strong technical education in software development, computer science, AI or similar.
• Have experience building larger software systems.
• Are strong in Python and modern software architecture.
• Have worked with AI, LLMs, AI agents or advanced automation.
• Can translate complex ideas into stable and maintainable solutions.
• Have a high standard of quality and a strong sense of structure.
