About the job

Hartmann Technologies, 12.888

Do you have solid experience with PLC programming and an interest in working with customized machines and production lines for a global market?

At Hartmann Technology we are seeking an Automation & Process Control Engineer who wants to be close to development, testing, commissioning, and who at the same time has ambitions for professional depth and development.

The position

As Automation & Process Control Engineer you will become part of a strong professional automation environment at Hartmann Technology.

You will join a team of experienced engineers and specialists in electrical, automation, process and machine construction and you will have a central role in the development and implementation of PLC‑, HMI‑ and servo‑solutions. The position gives you the opportunity to be involved all the way – from function description and programming to testing, commissioning and installation at the customer – and thus build a deep technical understanding of our machines and production lines.

Your primary tasks will be

  • Development, programming and documentation of PLC- and HMI‑solutions
  • Configuration of servo- and drive systems as well as frequency converters
  • Specification of automation functions in collaboration with sales, customers and internal specialists
  • Testing, commissioning and start‑up – both internally and at customers globally
  • Technical sparring with electrical hardware engineers, process engineers and designers
  • Internal and external technical support

Your natural interest in programming and designing PLC & HMI‑solutions with associated electronics, as well as your responsible approach to task solving and managing these tasks means that you have ample opportunity to work on exciting development projects within mechatronics, design and PLC programming. The tasks are carried out independently or in teams, therefore it is expected that you thrive with both teamwork and independent tasks.

Professional qualifications

  • Background as engineer, automation technologist or technician
  • Experience with PLC programming, preferably 3+ years
  • Experience with Allen‑Bradley is an advantage, but experience with other PLC platforms is also relevant
  • Practical experience with electrical installations, drives and servo
  • Good communication skills in Danish and English

Personal qualifications

In addition to being sharp at PLC programming and able to work independently and structured, you have good collaboration skills across disciplines. As a person you are positive, energetic and proactive – i.e. you are self‑driven, flexible in your interactions and problem‑solving.

We offer

Entry into an industry with high expectations for future growth due to the phasing out of plastic in packaging. Employment in a solid company that works with a very flat structure and offers the individual employee a great deal of freedom under responsibility. The daily driving force is development, production and sale of the market's best machines and plants for the production of sustainable packaging. At Hartmann Technology you will have a daily life in an informal work environment, where there is an opportunity to collaborate and interact with assembly and test employees in direct proximity to the office.

The position involves some travel activity in connection with testing and commissioning at customers, typically about 40-50 days per year.
