The Supervision Department Næstved is part of the Danish Prisons. We work with people who are sentenced to, for example, conditional sentences, parole, treatment sentences and community service.

Our common task is to support people in creating a crime-free life through clear frameworks, relationships, motivation and high-quality social work.

We prepare pre-sentence reports for the court, supervise and cooperate closely with municipalities, psychiatry, police and treatment centers. At the same time we work in a structured and professionally grounded way with LS/RNR, MOSAIK and motivational interviewing.

With us you receive thorough introduction to the tasks, training in LS/RNR and MOSAIK as well as high professionalism and sparring in everyday work. What does everyday look like?

No day is the same with us.

You will among other things work with

• conduct supervision processes and conversations with clients
• prepare pre-sentence reports, action plans and assessments
• motivate clients to create a crime-free daily life
• collaborate with municipalities, psychiatry and treatment systems
• follow up on terms set by the court or the prosecution
• supervise community service – also occasionally outside normal working hours

You must be able to navigate the crossroads between social work and authoritative duties. This means you must both be able to support, motivate and set requirements.

Opportunity for specialization within community service

The Supervision Department Næstved has ongoing many clients in community service, and the area therefore constitutes a significant part of our work.

There will be an opportunity for a position where parts of the tasks are more directed towards working with community service. Here you will get a more enterprise-oriented function with a focus on establishing and developing collaborations with community service sites as well as supporting stable and meaningful trajectories for the clients.

The tasks can include, among others, the following

• be proactive in relation to new community service sites
• establish and maintain collaborations with businesses, institutions and social offerings
• follow up on quality and cooperation around community service programs
• work more specialized with clients who are completing community service
• Our community service sites span widely and include, among others, recycling shops, municipal offerings, cultural institutions, associations and social organizations.

Who are you?

You are educated as a social worker or social facilitator and thrive in working with people in complex life situations.

Perhaps you have experience from social psychiatry, substance abuse, authority work or similar – perhaps you are a recent graduate with the right motivation and professional curiosity.

Salary and employment conditions

The position is a permanent one with an average weekly working time of 37 hours and is desired to commence on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

If you are educated as a social worker, you are hired as a welfare assistant. Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the applicable LC/CO10 joint agreement as well as the organizational agreement for social workers in the state. Link to organizational agreement

If you are a social facilitator, employment and pay are under the applicable OAO-STAT joint agreement and organizational agreement for office workers, IT staff and lab technicians (HK). Link to organizational agreement

For already employed civil servants in the state there may be an option to retain civil service employment.
