About the job
Are you an experienced nurse who thrives on clinical decisions, complexity and independence in the acute setting?
Do you want to be among the first to shape a completely new regional function, with strong professional backing from OUH?
Then you now have a unique opportunity: We are building the Regional Acute Nursing Funen in Borgernær Sundhed at OUH and are seeking nurses who want to be involved from the start.
Why choose Borgernær Sundhed
With us you don’t just get a job – you get a central role in the building of the new, close-to-home health system.
Borgernær Sundhed is a new clinical department established on 1 January 2026 as part of the Health Reform. From 1 January 2027 we will consolidate the responsibility for acute nursing, health and care beds and patient-targeted prevention.
Our task is clear: To bring advanced nursing, treatment and assessment very close to the citizen’s everyday life, and to create equity in health and continuity across hospital, municipality and general practice.
In the transformation, The Regional Acute Nursing plays a completely central role, and you will have the opportunity to
- work closely with citizens together with the municipality and general practice – and with OUH backing
- gain real clinical autonomy and influence on decisions
- help shape workflows, culture and professional direction from day one.
You will become part of a unified unit across the Funen municipalities, based at the Health and Care Centers in Kerteminde and reporting to the operational leadership of the Acute Nursing.
Your role
You will be a central clinical actor in the close-to-home health system and will among other things have to:
- handle acute and subacute tasks in the citizen’s own home
- perform independent clinical assessments and initiate treatment
- work closely with physicians on diagnostic workups and treatment plans
- contribute to preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and support earlier discharges
- ensure coherent patient pathways across sectors
- be a professional sparring partner for colleagues – both by phone and in person
We are looking for you who
- have solid experience from e.g. municipal acute nursing, emergency reception, intensive care, anesthesia or home nursing (i.e. you do not need to have a specialist qualification)
- are confident in making independent clinical decisions – even when things move fast
- are motivated to help build something new in close collaboration with colleagues and management
- have strong clinical observation and assessment skills
- are able to create trust with citizens and partners
Clinical development – not just a promise
You will become part of an environment where development is built into everyday life
- systematic competency development in acute nursing
- close sparring with colleagues and clinical back-up
- active participation in the development of new workflows and solutions
- opportunity to influence future practice – locally and regionally

These are permanent positions of 37 hours per week in mixed shifts.
