About the job
Become a key player in the future Regional Acute Nursing Fyn in Svendborg –
OUH establishes a new strong unit in Citizen-Centered Health
Are you an experienced nurse who thrives with clinical decisions, complexity and independence in the acute setting?
Do you want to be among the first to shape a completely new regional function, with strong professional support from OUH?
Then you now have a unique opportunity: We are building the Regional Acute Nursing Fyn in Citizen-Centered Health at OUH and are looking for nurses who want to be involved from the start.
Why you should choose Citizen-Centered Health
With us you don’t just get a job – you get a central role in building the new, closely connected health system.
Citizen-Centered Health is a new clinical department established on January 1, 2026 as part of the Health Reform. From January 1, 2027 we will bring together the responsibility for acute nursing, health and care places and patient-centered prevention.
Our task is clear: To bring advanced nursing, treatment and assessment very close to the citizen’s everyday life, and create equality in health and coherence across hospital, municipality and general practice.
In the transformation, the Regional Acute Nursing will play a central role, and you will have the opportunity to:
- work closely with the citizen, with the municipality and general practice – and with OUH in the background
- gain real clinical autonomy and influence on decisions
- help shape workflows, culture and professional direction from day one.
You will become part of a unified unit, across the Funen municipalities, based at the Health and Care Places in Svendborg and reporting to the ßunctional management for Acute Nursing.
Your role
You will become a central clinical actor in the close health system and will among other things need to:
- handle acute and subacute tasks in the citizen’s own home
- perform independent clinical assessments and initiate treatment
- work closely with doctors on diagnostic workups and treatment plans
- contribute to preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and support earlier discharges
- ensure coherent patient pathways across sectors
- be a professional sparring partner for colleagues – both by phone and in person
We are looking for you who
- have solid experience from e.g. municipal acute nursing, acute reception, intensive care, anesthesia or home nursing (i.e., you do not need a specialty training)
- are confident in independent clinical decisions – even when things move quickly
- are motivated to help build something new in close collaboration with colleagues and management
- have strong clinical observation and assessment skills
- are able to build trust with citizens and partners
Professional development – not just a promise
You will be part of an environment where development is built into everyday life
- systematic competency development in acute nursing
- close sparring with colleagues and medical support
- active participation in developing new workflows and solutions
- opportunity to shape future practice – locally and regionally
