About the job

Bioanalyst with a special role in research support

Do you want to work closely with research while maintaining your connection to the bioanalytical laboratory work? Do you thrive in tasks that require an overview, structure and close collaboration with both colleagues and researchers?

Then we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are seeking a bioanalyst for a 30-hour-per-week position, who will help strengthen our research support unit and create increased robustness around the many research projects that Blood Samples and Biochemistry support.

About the position

As a bioanalyst with us you will have a varied daily life, where you will work in close collaboration with our experienced staff on research projects. Here you will gradually gain insight into the entire process around handling and coordinating research samples and help ensure that projects are conducted with high professional quality and structure.

You will participate in and have a workplace in the department's research support unit.

Your tasks will include

  • coordination and practical handling of research projects in close collaboration with colleagues and researchers
  • reception, registration, handling and follow-up on research samples
  • daily support to sections in connection with batch analysis of research samples
  • collaboration with the department's other areas on research-related tasks
  • other bioanalyst tasks depending on your competences and the department's needs.

The specific task distribution will be planned in collaboration with you and may develop over time. We emphasize creating a position where your competencies are utilized as effectively as possible, while ensuring robust and coherent research support.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are a licensed bioanalyst and want to work at the intersection of laboratory operations and research.

You do not necessarily need to have experience with research support beforehand. The most important is that you are curious, thorough and eager to learn the field.

We also place emphasis on the following

  • work in a structured manner and have an eye for both details and connections
  • be able to maintain an overview when several tasks and projects run concurrently
  • take responsibility and follow up tasks through to completion
  • thrive with both independent tasks and close collaboration
  • communicate well with different professional groups
  • contribute positively to the community and the joint task solving.

We offer

You will become part of Blood Samples and Biochemistry at Aarhus University Hospital – a large and highly specialized department with many different professional environments and close collaboration with both clinical departments and research environments.

With us you will have the opportunity to work in an area where the bioanalyst's expertise is central to the quality of the research. You will become part of a environment where we emphasize high professional quality, collaboration and development, and where there is still an opportunity to influence how research support should be organized and developed going forward.

We will naturally provide an introduction and training so you are well prepared for the tasks.
