Become a SOSU trainee in Copenhagen Municipality

• You will receive training at exciting training sites across the City of Copenhagen.
• On the social and health care assistant education we collaborate with Region H, which means there will also be training sites in the Region H area.
• You will meet skilled supervisors during your training, who base their guidance on you and your learning.
• There are consultants who accompany you through your education and provide support and sparring when you need it.
• Your school periods take place at SOSU H.
• You can receive training abroad and experience how the profession is practiced in other countries.

We expect you to

• have a desire to work with care and welfare.
• be honest, trustworthy and have the citizen in focus.
• be curious and eager to learn something new.
• be aware that there may be periods with longer travel times to your training site.
• be able to cycle safely in traffic in Copenhagen.
• be able to start at 07:00.

Employment terms

If you are 25 years old or more, you receive an adult trainee wage. You can receive adult trainee wages for GF+, GF2 and the main course. This applies to both social and health care helper apprentices and social and health care assistant apprentices. The adult trainee wage is approximately DKK 25,000.

If you are offered an apprenticeship, you will receive your start date when you receive your training contract.

Special for applicants to Grundforløb Plus (GF+) and Grundforløb 2 (GF2)

You can only submit your application once you have received an admission letter for GF+ or GF2 at SOSU H ( see an example of an admission letter here ).

Remember to upload your admission letter when you submit your application. If you have not yet applied for admission to SOSU H Copenhagen, you must apply at www.optagelse.dk .

Your employment date may lie later than your education start for GF+ or GF2.

You can apply for SU or other benefits until your employment starts. Your start date as an employee of Copenhagen Municipality depends on when you have attended the interview. It is therefore not guaranteed that you will receive pay from the start of your education.
