Brøndbyøster School is seeking skilled and dedicated teachers for early primary and middle grades

Now you have the chance to become part of a professional work community at Brøndbyøster School! We are looking for a capable Danish teacher for 1st grade.

You will primarily teach Danish, and otherwise we are excited to hear what other subjects, competencies and exciting interests you also bring to the table.

Brøndbyøster School is within cycling distance of Copenhagen, close to bus and train, and with Brøndbyskoven and Vestvolden in the backyard. We are an ordinary, extraordinary public school in Brøndby Municipality, with 180 dedicated staff and around 1000 happy pupils. We are strongly rooted in the local area and our values, which are based on movement , community , professionalism and diversity .

At Brøndbyøster School we are highly ambitious with the academic goals, and we are always on the lookout for exciting competencies among our pupils and staff. The school is a modern workplace, updated with the latest knowledge, e.g. we work with co-teaching, restorative practice and low-arousal. In three of our upper primary classes we have experiments with “flow classes” and Learning Spaces 2.0, we have an interest community for gifted pupils, and in grades 0-2 we have full two-adult coverage.

In addition, we are focused on further developing our guidance culture, with a focus on interventions close to the pupils, just as we have a close and constructive collaboration with PPR.

We focus on the whole person, and know that learning and well-being are closely linked. We are brave and dare to lead with new and unconventional initiatives, and there are great opportunities to develop new things for the benefit of the school’s pupils. The path from staff to leadership is short, and we value open and honest communication.
