Campus Odsherred seeks a new SPS counselor/mentor

Campus Odsherred seeks a new SPS counselor/mentor, who can join our mentor and study guidance team. The position is 30 hours per week. We are looking for an SPS counselor/mentor who is passionate about working with young people and helping them complete their upper secondary education. As an SPS counselor/mentor at Campus Odsherred you will both hold individual conversations with the students and actively participate in teaching to support them in their daily learning and well-being.

Personal properties

We expect you to speak the language of young people and meet them at eye level – always based on a professional approach. You are flexible, adaptable and can handle suddenly arising needs for urgent mentor support and be capable in difficult conversations. You have experience working with young people who are vulnerable, and may have a background as a teacher, pedagogue, social worker, or similar. You thrive in a role where relationship-building, well-being, motivation and collaboration are keywords.

The mentor's areas of work

As an SPS counselor/mentor, a large part of the workday will involve individual conversations with students. In addition, you will be required to participate in teaching and support the students in actively participating. You will engage in close collaboration with the rest of the mentoring team, the school's teachers and management, as well as external partners such as the youth team and youth guides. You must be prepared to work with ongoing written documentation and purpose descriptions.

In addition, it is expected that you contribute constructively to the collaboration with the teachers at Campus Odsherred and participate in meetings where we develop our joint efforts for the students' well-being and completion.

As an SPS counselor/mentor at Campus Odsherred you will participate in scheduled supervision talks with psychologists from Unges Psykologiske Center Nordvestsjælland.

You plan your own day and prioritize your time where the students have the greatest need for your support.

Campus Odsherred is part of NEG - Nordvestsjællands Erhvervs- og Gymnasieuddannelser. We have a nice workplace, characterized by proximity and familiarity with students and colleagues. We are 45 staff and about 450 students. Campus is located in Asnæs in the scenic Odsherred, 1 hour's drive from Rådhuspladsen in Copenhagen. Campus Odsherred is a campus school offering the gymnasiale uddannelser HF, stx and hhx, 10th grade and EUD-basic programs. As a mentor you will primarily mentor students in the gymnasiale uddannelser.

The vision for Campus Odsherred is to 'bring together the best in Odsherred' and to create a strong and sustainable educational environment with a wide range of youth educations that open opportunities for all young people in Odsherred. The vision is also that Campus Odsherred should be a living part of the local community and co-create an inspiring youth environment, with offers and opportunities after the end of teaching.

Løn- og ansættelsesvilkår

Employment is in accordance with the Ministry of Education's circular no. 101 of 1 February 2007. It is a permanent appointment, and the employment rate is 30 hours, but you should expect that the average working time in the weeks with teaching will be higher due to the teaching-free weeks. The appointment is from 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
