About the job

Are you passionate about making a difference for children and young people? Are you stable, responsible and do you meet everyday life with good humor and joy in life? Then you may be our new colleague.

Workplace: Tinghøj, Tingvejen 6, 6000 Kolding

Working hours: 37 hours per week

Start date: 27 October 2026

The Tinghøj support residence in Kolding is looking for more engaged pedagogical staff for our respite and 24-hour care offerings. With us you will meet children and young people aged 4-18 years who, due to distress, diagnoses, vulnerability or family challenges, need a safe place to be.

Some children and young people come for respite stays, while others live with us for shorter or longer periods. The common factor is that they need stable adults, clear frameworks and a caring environment where they can feel safe, develop and experience successes in everyday life.

We are a workplace in continuous development, where we work purposefully to strengthen our pedagogical practice and create the best conditions for both children, young people and staff. Therefore we are looking for colleagues who want to actively contribute to both the children’s well-being and the professional development of our offerings.

About the position

We are looking for staff who can contribute with stability, structure and presence in the daily lives of the children and young people. You take responsibility, work independently and are able to build safe relationships with both children, young people and their families.

You must be able to thrive in a daily life where no day is the same, and where you, with professionalism and calm, can handle challenging situations. Experience from the specialized social sector is an advantage, but the most important is that you have the right professional and human approach.

We work from Kolding Municipality's common view on children and youth , where we meet children and young people with respect, inclusion and belief in their resources and development opportunities.

We expect that you

  • Are professionally skilled and can document your pedagogical work.
  • Contribute to a daily life characterized by safety, care and development.
  • Are flexible, adaptable and can maintain an overview when situations become intense.
  • Thrive in team collaboration, where collegial sparring, feedback and supervision are valued highly.
  • Are engaged, reflective and inclusive.
  • Have a positive outlook on life and meet both children, young people and colleagues with energy and good humor.
  • Can work professionally in situations with challenging or inappropriate behavior.
  • Can work every other weekend and participate in shifting work hours.

We offer

  • A meaningful job where you make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
  • Skilled and committed colleagues who help and support each other.
  • A workplace characterized by development, professional ambition and high well-being.
  • Ongoing competence development through courses, supervision and further education.
  • Opportunity to influence the pedagogical practice and development of the offering.

We are looking for you who...

...have your heart in the right place, stand stable in yourself and see opportunities rather than limitations. You contribute with joy, positive energy and a genuine desire to create good experiences and development opportunities for the children and young people who need us.

Can you see yourself in this role? Then we look forward to hearing from you.
