Do you want to help unemployed people on sick leave return to the labor market?

In connection with the restructuring of Job Randers, we are seeking 3 permanent caseworkers for Team Unemployed. You will become part of a department with many skilled colleagues, three professional consultants and a department head, who together provide ongoing sparring and professional development in the department.

Shared focus on the core task

“We succeed when we targetedly and cross-functionally – and in cooperation with our citizens – strengthen their path to education, work and participation in society.”

With us, we work in teams on the task, and you will therefore join a team where the central focus is always to solve our shared core task. We place emphasis on involving the citizen in their process from the start and thus enabling them to take responsibility for the plan that is laid out. We believe we should meet the citizen with positive and clear expectations and requirements, as this is to meet the citizen with respect.

We place great importance on creating direction in cases from day 1, so that together with the citizen we can make a plan for return to work within the individual’s job goals and opportunities.

We focus on creating coherent processes for citizens that span both sickness benefit and job clarification efforts. You will therefore sit with the citizens from the start of their sick leave and until they again become part of the labor market community.

We in the department focus on creating good results for the benefit of citizens and businesses, and there is often little from idea to action, with the possibility of a high degree of involvement. You will be part of one of our two Team Unemployed, where we work with unemployed citizens who are on sick leave or have been laid off during their sick leave.

The team's main task is to support citizens’ path back to the labor market through an early and targeted effort. We focus on reorientation, clarification of job opportunities, preparing realistic job goals, and creating good matches between citizens and companies through the initiation of business-oriented actions. The aim is for each citizen to quickly regain a foothold in the labor market.

Your tasks will include

  • Hold conversations with citizens to establish a clear direction and consensus on the steps to take toward the job goal
  • Plan, coordinate and initiate actions in accordance with the case direction
  • With the citizens, set concrete and realistic job goals based on an analysis of the citizen’s competencies and resources
  • Prepare agreements on paid hours
  • Make assessments of incapacity for work and make decisions
  • Carry out systematic case processing towards flexible jobs, senior pensions and disability pensions, including preparation of rehabilitation plans
  • Collaborate with skilled colleagues

We are looking for this employment officer

You have a relevant education as social worker/social mediator or equivalent experience that you think can benefit the core task. Your ability to focus on the citizen’s resources rather than limitations and help them identify their competencies is central. You are good at collaboration, flexible and approachable.

Quality, structure and results orientation are important to you, both in your written work and in documenting your efforts in accordance with applicable law. It would be advantageous if you have knowledge of the employment field, including specifically the Sickness Benefit Act and the Employment Efforts Act.

We offer

An engaged work environment with a segmented area of work, where you work closely with skilled teams and colleagues who thrive both professionally and socially. We strive to be a workplace where there are good opportunities for personal and professional development as well as a high degree of influence on the department’s initiatives.

Management-wise we emphasize each person’s professional expertise as well as teamwork, and therefore a significant part of the competences are delegated to the caseworker and their corresponding team. The management supports and guides each team to ensure optimal working conditions.

We also offer fruit, cafeteria plan, flexible working hours and the possibility of one remote workday per week.

Hiring process

If you are interested in applying for one of the positions and perhaps becoming part of our workplace, please send your application, CV, education certificates and any references no later than 21 October 2026 at 23:59. Interviews are expected to be held on Tuesday 27 October between 08:30-15:00.

All positions are to be filled by 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. There are 3 permanent full-time positions and salary and terms follow the applicable collective agreement and rules on new pay.

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the head of the Sick Leave Department, Nanna Andersen, at tel. 21 55 08 69.

All genders, ages, ethnic backgrounds, etc. are encouraged to apply.
