Build the financial platform for the next growth phase

With reference to the CEO and as part of the executive team you will be responsible for Finance and HR and play a central role in HBC’s next development phase. The company is set for continued international scaling, planned generational shift and professionalization. At the same time as the business model is developed from distributor sales towards increased direct B2B and OEM sales and from traditional CAPEX sales to a larger share of recurring revenue and service-based solutions.

HBC already stands on a solid financial foundation with profitable operations, valid data and good insight into the business’s financial drivers. The task is therefore to build on the foundation and ensure that financial management, processes, systems and the organization can support a significantly larger and more international company.

As CFO you own the overall financial agenda from accounting, reporting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital and consolidation to performance management and international corporate governance. You will also be a close financial and strategic sparring partner for the CEO, leadership team, board and owners and will participate in board meetings.

Your main areas of responsibility will be to

• ensure strong financial operations, reporting, forecasting, cash flow and international financial control
• develop KPIs and governance models that support profitable international growth, direct sales and recurring revenue
• drive digitalization, automation and scaling of finance, including assessing needs and business case for a future ERP platform
• develop the finance organization in line with growth and take overall responsibility for HR
• be an active financial and strategic sparring partner for the CEO, leadership team, board and owners

Thus you will have a central role in ensuring that HBC can realize its international growth ambitions with continued financial discipline, transparency and profitability.

Operational and financial gravitas with strong business understanding

You have a relevant financial education and a strong foundation in accounting and financial management. You currently work as CFO, Finance Director, head of finance, senior controller or similar. You come from an international B2B company in industry, technology, automation, machine building or a related environment.

You are able to combine strong financial craft with commercial understanding and business vision. You have experience with international financial management and are at home with ERP, BI and data-driven governance. Experience with international scaling and recurring/subscription-based business models is an advantage.

As a person you naturally take ownership, create structure and momentum and thrive in an entrepreneurial company with high pace and short decision paths. You also have the weight and integrity to challenge with qualification and navigate naturally between family ownership and professional ownership capital.

The role is a real playing coach. You must be close enough to the numbers to own the financial operations and at the same time be able to translate strategy and business opportunities into financial models, priorities and actions.
