About us
All residents of Hedensted Municipality should move about well. We as a municipality must support them in this movement. For Children & Families that means we must actively contribute to ensuring that children and young people have optimal conditions and safe learning environments, both at home and in our institutions. We must support them in developing their participation capacity and opportunities. We see this as a shared responsibility, where families, local communities and the municipality's offerings together create the movement for all children and young people.
Children & Families covers the specialized child and youth area for 0-18 years and citizens with refugee background in the first three years in Denmark. We are organizationally placed under Learning.
The core task for Learning in Hedensted Municipality is “ Together we create movement, so that children and young people in committed communities develop into capable and future-ready people”.
In Children & Families we, together with our partners, focus on getting in contact early with children, young people and their families with special needs, and developing the interventions for the families. In Children & Families and the entire Learning area we have a shared view of children and young people “ All children and young people do as well as they can – let us together give them the opportunity".
We have a particular focus on involving the children, the young people and their families, and work with cross-disciplinary coordination and Signs of Safety – just as we develop different involvement tools, depending on the child’s/young person’s age, functional level and challenge. We work purposefully with the systematics of case processes, and have a wide range of services to involve.
We are across the entire Children & Families united in that we are each other’s prerequisite for succeeding in creating the change for the children, the young people and their families, and must support each other in solving the task.
