About the job
We believe that all children and young people should have a good life now and in the future.
Are you passionate about being part of a department that consists of professionally competent, engaged and dedicated social workers with good humor? Then we look forward to meeting you.
In the Family Section we are experiencing rapid and positive development ourselves. We focus on clear, accessible and approachable leadership as a prerequisite to ensure stability and high quality in the work with the families.
The Family Section is Holstebro Municipality's child and family affairs authority department and we are organized into four general district teams and a Family and Disability team.
We offer two permanent positions in the general and two permanent positions in the Family and Disability team. In addition, we have two maternity leave positions in the general. All positions are initially 37 hours per week.
District Teams
In the four district teams, casework for children and young people in vulnerable positions aged 0-18/23 years is handled. We focus on preventive social work, families' networks, pregnant women and the infant area. We believe that we are most successful when we have early intervention, collaborate with citizens and the families' networks – both private and professional.
We work together to ensure good well-being and a good collaborative culture - not only in the individual teams, but in the department as a whole - and we deliberately work to create an environment with high professionalism.
Family and Disability Team works with the specialized target group of children with physical and mental disabilities from age 0 to 18 and sibling cases up to 23. As a Child and Youth Adviser in the Family and Disability Team you handle all types of social cases including §§ 86 and 87 according to the Child's Act.
The Family and Disability Team has natural cross-sector collaboration with a range of stakeholders in both the children and youth area as well as in the adult sector, including the region, specialized institutions, the labor market and the rehabilitation sector, etc. We are focused on strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration about the citizens, and we work purposefully on smooth handovers.
As an adviser in the Family Section it is important that you
- Are passionate about the social work field for the target group and consider professional quality and development as a key core value.
- Have knowledge of the legislation.
- Have experience as a Child and Youth Advisor, or similar role.
- Can independently structure and plan your work and daily life so you thrive and develop in a busy everyday life.
- Ability to take a holistic perspective – both regarding individual cases in the district/team and regarding cross-cut collaboration
- Have a good sense of humor and enjoy an environment that is both professionally and work-oriented, but where there is also an informal and down-to-earth atmosphere.
In return you will get
- Mentoring program and introduction for new employees.
- Flexitime and the possibility of remote work after agreement.
- A section where there are many exciting things going on, with a high level of expertise and a strong willingness to learn and to teach others.
- Good colleagues and managers in a section where we also remember to have fun and enjoy each other’s company.
- Skilled colleagues who daily will challenge your thinking and motivate you to perform at your best.
- Support from social work consultants and team leaders.
Common to the section is that we focus on high professional quality, strengthened inclusion of the child and adolescent's perspective in their own case, and we insist on close cooperation with our closest partners.
