Choir singer (Soprano) for Copenhagen Cathedral

Vor Frue Kantori is seeking an experienced and morning-spirited choral singer (soprano) with good note-reading skills.

You will be part of a versatile team under the artistic and administrative leadership of 2nd organist and choirmaster Mark Baumann. Vor Frue Kantori has an exciting and varied daily life in one of Copenhagen's most beautiful church spaces. We greatly value a friendly and welcoming working atmosphere in a professional community. Our focus is to provide church visitors as well as our listeners and viewers in DR radio/TV experiences with high-quality liturgical choral music. In daily life the choir is directed by the church's three organists.

We are 16 singers in the choir, 12 positions with full-time service and 4 positions with partial service. The advertised position is with full-time service.

The base salary includes , according to the scheduled work plan

• weekly radio- and TV-broadcast morning services (13/month)
• high masses (27/year)
• church services Sundays at 5 pm (31/year)
• Vigil services Friday at 11 am (16/year)
• 1 landemode, 1 service for All Saints' Day at 14:00, Hartmann service (Christmas Eve at 16:30 / meeting time 15:30), 1 midnight mass.

Occasional services are a part of the service obligation, but not counted in the base salary, i.e. these services are paid extra. They include the following services and associated rehearsals:

• church actions (funerals, marriages, baptisms)
• ordinations, special services
• music services/choral matinees, choir concerts

The position contains a certain flexibility, as it is possible to swap services among each other, but also to apply for service leave when needed. In addition the position includes 5 vacation weeks per year, taken during Vor Frue Kantori's summer period (from the Tuesday after Pentecost to August 31). The base salary is 11,611.70 DKK. A typical monthly salary for a full-time position is about 12,500 DKK + holiday pay.
