Clinic assistant for Center for Dental Care

Center for Dental Care in Odense Municipality needs more skilled hands on the team. We would really like to hear from you who have interest in working with children and youth in general dental care, and from you who have experience or interest in the specialty of orthodontics.

Come and use your competencies together with many skilled colleagues – we need you in the work community Center for Dental Care in Odense.

Here we handle pediatric and adolescent dental care for the approx. 50,000 children and youths in Odense Municipality, and in Odense we are also a provider to 5 Funen municipalities in orthodontics.

Pediatric and adolescent dentistry is distributed across 7 clinics located at schools in the municipality. The Orthodontic Center Funen handles the full spectrum of orthodontic treatments in clinics at Grønløkkevej in Odense C, where 60 engaged colleagues – dental assistants, dental hygienists, specialist dentists and dental technicians – work together in small and larger teams on the task.

As a clinic assistant in Center for Dental Care you therefore have a good opportunity to use and develop your competencies.

Your tasks include assisting the dentist and dental hygienist, delegated tasks and independent clinical tasks.

As a rule you are attached to one fixed B&U clinic and either a B&U clinic or Orthodontic Center Funen. If you wish part-time employment, that is also possible. You will also periodically have changing workplaces if needed – e.g. in connection with maternity leave or similar with one of your colleagues.

About the job

The position is full-time with start on December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible – by agreement.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and HK. The base salary is as of October 2026. Base pay for a full-time employment is approx. DKK 385,000 gross per year including pension. In addition, there is negotiation regarding competencies and experience.

Center for Dental Care is part of the Children and Youth Administration in Odense Municipality and consists of Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontic Center Funen, Adult Dentistry, Social Dentistry and the central administration.

The dental sectors are staffed by skilled and committed teams of dentists, specialist dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and dental technicians, and together with the central administration we are about 220 employees in total, who cooperate and develop with each other to ensure the best service for the citizens. Pediatric dentistry takes place at 7 local clinics located at schools in Odense Municipality.

The Orthodontic Center Funen handles all orthodontic treatments for children and youths from five Funen municipalities. Adult dentistry treats care patients from Odense Municipality and special dental patients referred from most of Funen. These specialties are gathered at Grønløkkevej in Odense.

Center for Dental Care also has its own dental laboratory and own X-ray department and has a surgical department attached to a fixed anesthesia team. Center for Dental Care in Odense contributes to the national agendas and has high ambitions to help create solutions for the municipal dental care area.
