About the job

Would you like to help develop psychiatric nursing – and make a difference for both patients and colleagues?

We are looking for two clinical nurse specialists for a staff function close to the department leadership. It is an opportunity for you who are passionate about high professionalism, development and teaching – and who thrive with turning knowledge, research and good ideas into practice.

With us you get a central role in supporting and developing nursing care at the Psychiatric Center Sct. Hans. You will become part of a strong professional team where there is room for independence, sparring and new perspectives.

A professionally exciting everyday life in two specialties

Psychiatric Center Sct. Hans is part of Amager and Hvidovre Hospital, and handles two specialties: dual diagnosis treatment and forensic psychiatry.

Both departments work with cognitive behavioral therapy and Fundamentals of Care, which are integrated into the approach to patients and into the departments' culture. We work from a holistic view of the person.

In Department M you will meet patients with dual-diagnosis issues, where treatment paths last up to three months and are planned based on a patient pathway description.

In Department R we handle the regional function for forensic psychiatry in the Capital Region. Here we receive patients where the mental illness and the legal intervention are complex and require special expertise.

It gives you a daily life with professional variety, specialized problems and the opportunity to bring your competencies into play across the organization.

You will have the opportunity to make your professional mark

As a clinical nurse specialist you will be part of a committed and professionally strong team of four nurses. Together you work to strengthen the quality and development of nursing care at Sct. Hans.

You will have an independent role, where you help plan and prioritize your tasks in close dialogue with colleagues and management. Your work is closely linked to the clinical daily life, so your efforts can be felt where they make a difference.

An important part of the job is teaching and competency development. You will among other things plan and conduct teaching within forensic psychiatry, dual diagnosis treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy skills training.

Your main tasks

  • Support that nursing care is evidence-based and takes its starting point in Fundamentals of Care, best practice as well as applicable guidelines and instructions.
  • Support the implementation of new standards and contribute to high quality in nursing documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of nursing care in close collaboration with the Department leadership, section leaders and the clinical nurse specialists in the section.
  • Plan and carry out teaching and other competency-enhancing activities.
  • Contribute to competency development within among other Fundamentals of Care, motivation work, cognitive behavioral therapy, skills training and specialized care and treatment.
  • Assist in a good and professionally strong introduction of new employees.

Here you get more than a job – Independence with close professional sparring

You get freedom to plan and coordinate your tasks and your working time together with your colleagues and management. At the same time you become part of a team where we prioritize professional sparring and actively use each other’s competencies.

We invest in you

You receive a thorough and tailored introduction and training. We offer relevant courses so you are well equipped for the role and can develop your competencies in line with the organization’s needs.

An environment with high professionalism

At Sct. Hans we prioritize professional development and a good working environment. We have respect for each other’s professionalism, share knowledge and are happy to be inspired when others do something well.

We imagine that you...

  • have high professional ambitions – for both yourself and the organization.
  • thrive in interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaborations.
  • are a confident and engaging communicator and enjoy teaching.
  • can facilitate good learning processes and meet others with a motivating and appreciative approach.
  • create momentum and follow up on your tasks.
  • are curious about professional development, education and new research.
  • have experience with implementation processes or want to develop yourself within the area.

Your qualifications

You must be a licensed nurse with a minimum of five years of experience. It is an advantage if you have experience from psychiatry and preferably from forensic psychiatry and/or the dual diagnosis field. Teaching experience is also an advantage.

You have a relevant academic degree at the kandidat- or master’s level.

It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of and experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and dialectical behavior therapy as well as familiarity with the concept framework Fundamentals of Care.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week and is primarily daytime. There may be occasional evening arrangements, where we expect you to participate.

The position is desired to be filled from December 1, 2026 or by agreement.

You are employed in accordance with the collective agreement for non-leading staff in the Healthcare Collective and the agreement for clinical nurse specialists with a kandidat or master degree. You are under employment subject to the applicable working time rules established between the Regions’ Payroll and Rate Board and the Danish Nurses Organization.
