About the job
Would you like to work in an exciting and educational niche of the health care system?
Vest Prison Circle is seeking a new department physician with a psychiatric background.
About the role as the psychiatric department physician in the Health Unit you will be responsible for the psychiatric treatment of the inmates at the sites, the sites Sdr. Omme Prison, Nr. Snede Prison, Møgelkær Prison, Aalborg Remand Prison, as well as our small remand houses in the central Jutland area, with primarily in-person presence during daytime on fixed scheduled weekdays.
The primary triage/visitation is performed by the Health Unit nurses, where at all sites there are assigned permanent nurses in the clinic, who handle the primary health care in collaboration with the department physicians at the sites. In addition to collaboration with other health professionals, there may be cooperation with the prison's other professional groups, e.g. prison guards, social workers and addiction treatment staff.
We emphasize that you
- Are a trained psychiatrist.
- Wish to help make a difference for some of society's most vulnerable, and understand that even a small difference can make a big difference for the inmates.
- Have good abilities to engage in collaborative relations with the Health Unit's other staff and the prison's staff in general.
- Wish to contribute to raising the professional level, and understand that consistency and standardization in patient care are essential.
- Contribute to and share responsibility for creating a good working environment with job satisfaction, well-being and good collaboration with your colleagues.
- Are present, and have a positive, humane outlook on life.
- Reliable in attendance.
We offer
- A workplace where the aim is to have time and opportunity for professional sparring across sites while working on various health care tasks.
- The possibility to work in a different part of the health care system.
- A flexible workplace where you will have great influence over your working hours.
- Opportunity for sparring with the other psychiatrists in the Health Unit.
About us
The Health Unit is still a relatively newly established unit, and has an independent health professional leadership that, among other tasks, has the job of raising and ensuring the quality of health care across all sites in Vest Prison Circle, while operations are optimized and made more efficient.
