About the job
Do you want to work closely with leadership and decision-making and drive a development project that makes a concrete difference for young people?
We are looking for a sharp and proactive consultant for a maternity-cover position in Children and Culture until the provisional date of 31 December 2027, with good opportunities for extension. You will have a broad consultancy role with project and process management, analyses, decision briefs, and cross-cutting coordination. At the same time, you will play a central role in a development project in the youth area in collaboration with Bikubenfonden and the NGO PLAY. The start date is as soon as possible and no later than 1 December 2026.
About the position
You will become part of the Secretariat for Children and Culture. The Secretariat supports politicians, management and the organization across the professional areas of Children and Culture, and in this position especially the child and family area. The tasks range from political and administrative support to development processes, analysis and project management.
The position has two equally important tracks: You contribute as a generalist/consultant to the Secretariat's cross-cutting tasks, and you help drive and coordinate a development project in the youth area with a focus on strengthening trust between youth and the system. Common to the tasks is that you must create structure, momentum and good cooperation across areas.
Your tasks as a consultant
- prepare decision briefs, analyses, notes, data and presentations
- support management and contribute to political and administrative support
- contribute to projects
- organise and facilitate meetings/workshops
- collect and translate knowledge into concrete recommendations, solutions and actions
- flexibly contribute to the Secretariat's other tasks.
The development project in the youth area
Haderslev Municipality is implementing, in collaboration with Bikubenfonden and the social enterprise PLAY, a development project that aims to strengthen trust between young people and the system. The project focuses on how previously placed youth can contribute to more trusting relationships, increased involvement and better solutions for young people in the family area. The project has just entered a new phase, where the effort should be embedded in operations and also inspire new trust-building practices locally and in other municipalities.
In the project you will, among other things
- drive and coordinate the project's activities in close collaboration with PLAY, Bikubenfonden, leaders, staff and young people
- ensure follow-up on progress, learning and results
- plan and facilitate workshops, learning pathways and co-creating processes with both young people, professionals and external actors
- communicate the project's experiences and contribute to evaluation, reporting and organizational anchoring.
How you succeed in the job
You are a strong consultant who can quickly grasp new areas and at the same time delve into a concrete project task. You can move confidently between analysis, coordination, process management and communication. You work independently, take responsibility and follow up until the task is settled. At the same time, you build trust and good working relationships across disciplines and organizational levels.
We especially emphasize that you
- have a relevant academic education
- preferably have experience from a politically governed organization or similar
- have experience with project and process management and can create momentum in tasks with many stakeholders
- have strong analytical abilities and can translate complex knowledge into clear briefs, recommendations and actions
- perhaps you are a bit of a structuring enthusiast who takes pride in having everything under control – while also being able to carry those who don’t have it with a smile
- have organizational understanding and an eye for both overall view, relationships and detail
- are proactive, have a good mood and a desire to contribute to the community.
About the Secretariat for Children and Culture
The Secretariat is a cross-functional staff function in Children and Culture. We solve planning, operations and development tasks and ensure professional support for politicians, leaders and the organization. We are a professionally strong team that helps each other, works closely with decision-makers and has an informal tone with room for humor.
We offer
- a broad and varied consultant position close to leadership and the organization
- a central role in a development project that aims to strengthen trust between the youth and the system
- opportunity to work on tasks that affect children, young people, families and communities
- capable and engaged colleagues in an environment with high ceilings
- a flexible workplace with the possibility of home working by agreement
- workplace at Haderslev Town Hall by Haderslev Fjord.
Employment terms
The position is a full-time maternity-cover for 37 hours per week, initially until 31 December 2027. Start as soon as possible and no later than 1 December 2026. Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement.
