About the job
The Greenlandic Health Service is in the process of implementing the duty rosters system PDC-VagtPlan and is seeking a consultant/roster planner with strong professional, digital, relational and communication skills.
You will have the opportunity to become part of building a new central function that will ensure consistent and quality-based roster planning across Greenland. As part of the central team you will play an important role in both the implementation of PDC-VagtPlan and the subsequent operation, support and further development of the roster planning area.
This is a permanent position with the workplace in Nuuk.
Your tasks will include
- Contribute to the implementation of PDC-VagtPlan, including configuration, setup and adaptation of the system to the needs of the individual departments
- Support the transition to new working practices and ensure a good anchoring of the system in the organisation
- Advise and support managers and local roster planners in the use of PDC-VagtPlan
- Quality assure rosters and contribute to ensuring compliance with working-time rules, collective agreements and local agreements
- Ensure good use of data from roster planning so managers have a better basis for decisions about resources and capacity
- Prepare guidelines and training materials and conduct training as needed
- Contribute to the development and improvement of workflows, principles and standards for roster planning
- Advise and brainstorm with managers and leaders on complex roster planning issues
Roster planning is a core task in all departments, but at the same time a complex function where many considerations must be balanced. A good roster ensures that patients meet the right staff with the right competencies at the right time and place. At the same time, economy, operations, working environment and employees’ well-being must be considered.
You thrive in a role where you create structure, find solutions and support managers and staff in complex planning tasks. You are motivated by collaboration, advisory work and being part of developing a central function in the Greenlandic Health Service.
We imagine that you
- Have experience with roster planning, preferably from a complex operational environment
- Have experience with electronic roster systems and preferably with PDC-VagtPlan or similar roster systems
- Have an interest in and preferably experience with configuring and customizing digital solutions
- Understand the connection between roster planning, working-time rules, collective agreements and operations
- Have strong competencies in planning, coordination and quality assurance
- Thrive in advisory, training and cross-organisational collaboration
- Work in a structured, independent manner with attention to both detail and the whole
- Be flexible regarding travel
It is advantageous if you
- Have experience from the health service
- Have experience with implementation or further development of digital systems
- Have experience in supporting users and power users in the use of digital solutions
- Have knowledge of working-time rules and collective agreements
