The Establishment and Terrain Command has its headquarters in Hjørring, while the establishments are spread across the country. You will become part of the Operations Department which today consists of 6 sections, supporting operations through our decentralized structure at the barracks, air stations and naval stations.

The Establishments Controlling Section is among other things responsible for control and invoicing within specific areas – always with a focus on quality, coordination and collaboration.

About the position

As a controller you will be responsible for a number of core tasks within controlling and contract management, including that:

• Verify suppliers' invoicing basis in relation to contracts
• Prepare validation analyses and ensure data quality
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal invoicing processes and control environment
• Develop and analyze samples
• Check suppliers' self-inspection
• Engage in dialogue with suppliers about invoicing and clarifications
• Prepare case briefs and conduct self-audits of selected areas
• Contribute to procurement work and process development for new agreements

You will have close collaboration with colleagues across the section and department. Your primary tools will be SAP, GIS and Excel.

About you

We are seeking a candidate with

• Relevant academic degree (e.g. cand.merc.jur., cand.merc.aud., cand.merc., cand.oecon., cand.stat. or equivalent
• Experience with controlling, auditing or financial management
• Strong Excel skills (preferably including VBA) and preferably with experience in SAP and GIS
• Ability to be detail-oriented while finding pragmatic solutions
• Good collaboration and communication skills, internally as well as externally
• A structured approach, ability to handle multiple processes and a desire to contribute to improvements
• Good at maintaining focus and overview during periods with deadlines

Employment terms

The employment is in accordance with the currently applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (Academic Agreement).

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiating a supplement. The position is linked to an employer-funded pension scheme.

The workplace is in Hjørring.

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special conditions. You must, among other things, be able to obtain a security clearance and maintain the clearance for the duration of your employment.

You have as an employee the duty to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations aimed at conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacemaking, humanitarian and other similar operations.

The Establishment and Terrain Command (ETK) supports and services military and civilian authorities under the Ministry of Defence. Our task is to provide and develop attractive physical premises necessary for their daily work.
