Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer at Mekoprint you will be part of a professionally strong Design & Development team. You will be responsible for technical design, CAD, documentation and product maturation in close collaboration with development, project management and production.

What will you be part of?

Mekoprint is a north Jutland based, innovative family-owned company that has experienced growth in recent years. Together with our customers, Mekoprint helps develop and produce electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical solutions.

We are organized into four divisions, where you will become part of Mekoprint Graphic Electronics in Støvring. The division specializes in the development and production of customer-specific components within HMI solutions, industrial graphics and printed electronics. Our customers include leading international companies in the electronics, industrial and pharmaceutical sectors.

As part of the Design & Development team

You will become part of an experienced Design & Development team with nine employees. The team is the technical link between customers, sales, development and production.

We work with design, project management, engineering, prototypes, DFM, quality assurance and technical consultancy throughout the product’s life cycle.

You will have a varied daily life with a high degree of independence and responsibility, while also being part of a strong collaboration across the organization.

You will influence your own tasks, work closely with colleagues and have the opportunity to develop your skills in a specialized environment.

Your responsibilities will include, among other things

• Design of HMI solutions.
• Preparation of 2D- and 3D-CAD models, technical drawings and production documentation.
• Design of tools.
• Maturation and further development of design concepts in collaboration with colleagues, customers and production partners.
• Participation in prototype processes, testing and verification of design solutions.
• DFM and optimization of products for efficient high-volume production.
• Handling changes and ongoing product improvements on existing products.

About you

You have experience with design, documentation and product maturation, as well as a solid technical understanding of graphics, mechanics or electronics.

You may already have experience with HMI solutions, or perhaps you come from a related industry and want to specialize further.

You have knowledge of DFM, production maturation and thrive on translating design concepts into production-ready solutions.

You work practically, analytically and structured. You translate problems into concrete solutions and collaborate across disciplines.

Experience with the above areas is an advantage, but we also highly value motivation, a willingness to learn and technical curiosity.

• Have a technical education as a designer, technical designer, production technologist or the like.
• Have experience with 2D- and 3D-CAD
• Have an understanding of product development, technical drawings and documentation.
• Thrive in the collaboration between development, project management and production.
• Work in a structured and systematic way without losing focus on the details.
• Are curious about new materials, technologies and manufacturing processes.
• Can communicate in Danish and English in both writing and speech.
