Are you passionate about strengthening the specialized children and youth area and PPR, and do you want to lead a group of ambitious and engaged leaders and employees? Then we think you should read on here.

Together with skilled leaders, you will set the direction for just under 150 employees across the area. If you are motivating and trustworthy, and at the same time have financial flair and a strategic vision, then you might be our new Area Leader. The position is to be filled by January 1, 2027.

You will become part of a center that includes the children, adult, and employment areas. We place great emphasis on a holistic approach, and you will be part of a strong interdisciplinary leadership group in the Center for Employment, Prevention and Social Interventions.

Your leadership area is divided into 3 different domains: Pedagogical-Psychological Counseling, Children and Youth Authority, and the Family House.

You should be able to balance appropriate presence in leadership with close follow-up in operations, finances, compliance with laws, quality in task execution, and complex challenges, and have the courage to test new professional solutions and set a strategic direction for the entire area.

You should be willing to and preferably have experience with leading other leaders, and you should thrive in being part of an organization where we both operate, develop and occasionally reorganize.

You will take over an area that is mid-transformation, where there are many simultaneous challenges, in headlines: Finance and Governance, Work Environment and Organization, Professionalism, Workflows and Competence Development, and a strengthening of our internal services in the children’s area.

The organization is large and lively, and there is a need for you to have insight into how meaning is created with the changes that constantly occur in a politically governed organization, and that you are a strong communicator. You should find it valuable to support your leaders in supporting and developing their employees in operations. There is a dedicated leadership team in the area that stands together for both development and daily task execution. The leadership group is characterized by trusting relationships, informal dialogue, and humor.

You will also become part of a new Area Leader group of 3, which is getting to know each other, and which emphasizes both giving and receiving leadership sparring to the side and upwards to the Center Chief.

The Children and Youth Area and PPR are currently focused on

• Strengthening the holistic approach and collaboration with schools and day care.
• Supporting the transformation in PPR so that the core task more strongly becomes strengthening communities.
• Developing the internal range of offers, including work on the new crisis plan in the psychiatry area.
• Ensuring high quality in the authority work, clear language in decisions, and involving the children in their own case.
• Ensuring usable management information, financial overview and follow-up on the effectiveness of interventions.
• Supporting a good working environment for employees and leaders.

Your profile

• You are educated in social work and have experience with the children’s area.
• You have solid insight into the specialized children and youth area and familiarity with PPR’s work.
• Experience with both authority and execution areas is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You have experience with leading other leaders and can create direction, followership and progress in changes.
• You are familiar with financial management and focused on linking data with quality and effect.
• You are present, visible and trust-based and communicate clearly about goals, priorities and expectations.
• You can translate political intentions into concrete changes in operations and collaborate across disciplines and management levels.
• You can create frameworks for high professional quality while focusing on well-being, sustainable working communities and a good mental working environment.
• You have strong organizational understanding and can see the bigger picture across disciplines, legislation, and management levels.
