About the job
We are seeking 1-2 caseworkers for permanent positions for our follow-up group in the Sick Leave Team, possibly with one starting in job clarification.
Would you like to use your employment and social work skills together with your legal understanding to help sick-listed citizens maintain or regain their connection to the labor market? Do you thrive with responsibility, close citizen contact, and collaboration with companies? Then you may be one of our new colleagues in the Sick Leave Team's follow-up group. In the Sick Leave Team you will be part of a department with high professionalism, close sparring, and strong commitment.
In the follow-up group you will primarily work with citizens who have a longer illness course, where your role is to help and support a swift return to the labor market.
We work purposefully to act early in the sick-leave process, while the connection to the labor market remains strong. Together with the citizen you identify the possibilities for retention, partial recovery, gradual return, development of work capacity, as well as disability compensating schemes and other relevant solutions.
You will have an independent official responsibility, where correct case handling, timely follow-up, and clear communication go hand in hand with a employment-oriented effort. You will also have access to close professional sparring with colleagues and partners.
The tasks are carried out in collaboration with among others colleagues in the team, job consultants, benefit areas, companies, health actors and other relevant partners.
Your primary tasks will be to
- Maintain contact with sick-leave benefit recipients and employers with a focus on follow-up, clarification, and return to the labor market
- Hold employment-focused conversations and plan individual pathways based on the citizen's situation, resources and possibilities
- Make social and legal assessments, including assessing being unable to work under the Sick Leave Act § 7
- Engage in close dialogue with citizens and employers about, among other things, partial recovery, gradual return, and other relevant retention options
- Make decisions on the right to sick pay and ensure that cases are sufficiently informed and documented
- Convey legislation, professional assessments and decisions clearly, respectfully and understandably
- Translate professional assessments into concrete next steps and create progress in the cases
- Actively contribute to professional sparring, development of practice, and collaboration across the Center for Labor Market and the municipality
We expect that you
- Are trained social worker or social educator or have another relevant social science background and experience from the employment area
- Have interest in and preferably experience with: authority work, the Sick Leave Act, employment law and public administration law
- Believe that everyone has a place in the labor market despite possible exemptions, so that we work on developing citizens' resources and work capacity
- Can work in a structured, independent and action-oriented way in a daily life with changing tasks and deadlines
- Meet citizens, companies and partners professionally, respectfully and clearly
- Can combine the authority role with a clear employment-focused focus
- Are curious about legislation, workflows and professional methods and want to develop both your own and joint practice
- Contribute positively to the work community and see the value in sparring, shared responsibility and interdisciplinary collaboration
We offer
- A varied daily life where you use juridical, social, employment-related and relational competencies
- A professionally strong team with an open sparring culture and colleagues who help each other
- A thorough introduction and ongoing professional support so you settle well into the field and workflows
- Opportunity to influence and develop practice in a sick-leave area in transition
- A work environment characterized by engagement, humor and respect for diversity
- Possibility of up to two home office days per week once you are well into the tasks and the core job allows it
