Equity Trading in Nykredit Markets has responsibility for trading Danish and international equities, mutual funds and ETFs. As a market maker in Danish mutual funds we ensure liquidity by posting prices on Nasdaq and trading with both Danish and international market participants.

We are expanding the team and are now looking for a new colleague for an exciting entry-level position. The role is ideal for you who want to start a career in trading and gain hands-on experience in a professional and dynamic trading environment.

Your key tasks will be

• Gain extensive understanding of the Danish and global equity- and ETF-markets, including listed and unlisted mutual funds from a trading perspective.
• Get insight into the processes that drive the right decision basis when trades are executed daily in the above markets, and gain insight into underlying trading and capital market-related regulation/law.
• Have close collaboration with other units in Markets and across the organization – including advisory- and portfolio units.
• Co-responsibility for optimization of system setup and implementation of trading infrastructure.
• After onboarding and introductory period, take more independent responsibility for handling positions, risk management and trading strategies.
• In the first year you will have to complete Finans Danmarks CMD-license, which is a requirement in this role.

Is this you we are looking for?

• You show great commitment to trading especially within equity and ETF trading.
• You have demonstrable interest in the relevant financial products and markets and also have an interest in system setup/optimization, including trading platforms.
• Relevant academic background, cand.merc.(fir/mat), cand.polit. or similar quantitative/financial studies, with basic understanding of statistics, investment, financing and macroeconomics.
• You have a robust and goal-oriented personality, can handle multiple tasks in parallel and work structurally under pressure.

Your new team

Equity Trading in the department is structured with 3 trading teams across seven employees - Equity Execution, Market Making and Institutional/Funds Trading. Equity Trading handles flows from retail customers, professional customers, asset managers and counterparty banks. You will be involved in all processes across teams, and you will initially primarily be assigned to Funds Trading.

There is a high degree of knowledge sharing and coordination across, and you will experience a steep learning curve in execution and risk management of the above products, where you will gain hands-on experience and a concrete development plan to learn to trade equity-related products.
