About the job
Are you interested in asset management, and do you want to help translate Banedanmark's strategic work into concrete actions through asset management plans? Then read on!
Right now we are looking for two new Tactical Asset Managers to shape the future of asset management at Banedanmark. Asset management is one of Banedanmark's core deliverables, designed to strengthen our ability to make databased decisions on our assets. Asset management thereby supports the shift to more condition-based maintenance strategies. Together with Banedanmark's other asset management activities, asset management plans play a central role in our success with this shift.
A central role in Maintenance
You will become part of the Tactical Asset Management team, where you through cross-cutting project collaborations gain a large responsibility for operationalizing asset management at Banedanmark. The team is one of three teams in the Asset Intelligence and Development section, which is anchored in the Maintenance division, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the railway infrastructure.
We are in the process of developing the first asset management plans for our physical assets, and here you will play a central role in ensuring that we achieve the asset management plans for all asset categories. It is exciting work that requires you to connect the technical organization’s practical knowledge and data basis with an increasing focus on lifecycle economics, risk management and strategic objectives. The position is therefore for you if you thrive at the intersection of technology, processes and close, interdisciplinary collaboration at Banedanmark.
Your upcoming tasks
As a tactical asset manager you will among other things
- develop and maintain asset management plans with maintenance and renewal strategies
- map data about assets and in collaboration with technical specialists underpin databased decisions, including lifecycle analyses as well as master and condition data
- develop and maintain maintenance strategies, including optimizing the balance between maintenance and renewal
- assess remaining useful life and set timing for renewal or replacement
- adjust asset management plans and budget needs for approval.
Who are you?
You may have worked with asset management, business development and lifecycle decisions and have experience with maintenance plans and strategies – or perhaps you have developed models and tools to forecast economically optimal lifecycle strategies.
We would like to see that
- one of our two new colleagues is educated as a mechanical engineer or has another relevant technical education and has worked at the intersection of asset management, engineering and operations
- the other of our new colleagues is educated as a marine engineer or has gained practical experience in engineering and operations, and preferably has analytical skills in data processing and financial analyses
Common to both profiles is that you can find solutions to both technical and organizational dilemmas and can facilitate dialogue with different parts of the business to gather knowledge.
Additionally, you both have knowledge of one or more of the following areas
- operational economics or management of lifecycle costs
- technical understanding of infrastructure and a lifecycle perspective on assets
- the use of data analysis in planning and decision processes
- asset management
And perhaps most important
- You are a technical problem-solver who has a good understanding of technical environments and the ability to immerse yourself in complex issues within a public agency – and can communicate them to the business with awareness of the framework of public administration
- You can perform tasks independently, including planning and stakeholder involvement
- You are analytical in your thinking and can see development opportunities
Your new work community
You will become part of a team that currently consists of three colleagues and a team leader, where we together develop and strengthen work with asset management plans at Banedanmark. We face a large change process, and therefore it is important that we are able to help and support each other as colleagues. You will play a central role in helping to set the direction for the continued development and translate the goals into practice.
We are deeply committed to our tasks and to creating good solutions, but we also believe that a good workday should include room for humor, laughter and an informal tone. We therefore emphasize creating a work environment where there is space to breathe and room for the individual.
As an employee with us you will have a workplace with paid lunch breaks, the option to work from home and good conditions to create flexibility between work and private life. We ensure a structured onboarding program so you get a good start with us.
Tactical Asset Management is based at our office in Ringsted on Godsbanevej 2, located four minutes’ walk from Ringsted Station and with good parking options right in front of Banedanmark's building.
