About the job
Would you like to help develop the environmental- and climate-economy model GrønREFORM? And would you like to join our engaged student team, where you will have a unique opportunity to apply your academic competencies from your studies in practice? We are looking for two sharp and well-qualified students to work on further developing the model, quality-assuring its properties, etc.
About the position
In the position you will work both with the model's data foundation, economic modelling and policy analyses on one or more of the model's subareas in close collaboration with your colleagues in the model group for the development of GrønREFORM.
GrønREFORM is a macroeconomic CGE model with a particular focus on environmental- and climate-economic issues. The model is today an established analytical tool in the central administration. It was used by the Expert Group for a Green Tax Reform and for calculations for Grøn Trepart. The model underpins the Green Denmark Agreement, and it forms the basis for the official projections in the agricultural and waste areas.
The model is also in demand internationally, and four EU countries are in the process of implementing their own version of GrønREFORM with support from DREAM.
Prior knowledge of general equilibrium models, energy system models and climate-policy issues for one or more of GrønREFORM's subareas is an advantage, but certainly not a requirement. See the project website www.grønREFORM.dk for further relevant information.
About you
We expect that you
- have a strong academic profile in economics and a flair for mathematics and statistics (you are studying economics, mathematical economics or similar).
- have passed the second-year exam with a good result.
- have good abilities and interest in programming. Knowledge of GAMS and Python is an advantage, but you will receive the necessary training.
- have good numeracy, are analytically sharp and have good writing skills.
- are responsible and thrive both working independently and with others.
About us

DREAM is a professionally challenging and inspiring workplace with an informal and relaxed atmosphere. We are a total of 30 employees, including 8 students. You will become part of the model group behind GrønREFORM, which today consists of 11 full-time employees and 2 students. See possibly www.dreamgruppen.dk for further information.
