Become a central part of a planned generational transition in one of the Nordic region's leading recycling companies

On behalf of HJHansen Recycling Group, AMBIZZION is seeking an experienced leader with strong production and operations understanding, who wishes to participate in a planned development program toward the role of future Chief of Operations for Funen and the Triangle Region.

Through an individually tailored development program you will build insight into the business, the organization and the operations with a view to eventually taking over overall responsibility as Chief of Operations.

The workplace is primarily at the HJHansen Recycling Group's headquarters in Odense with ongoing presence at the company's other locations on Funen and in the Triangle Region, as well as at the associated companies.

About the position

You will be hired as an Operations Chief candidate and will become part of the management team with direct reporting to the Production Director.

In collaboration with the current Chief of Operations you will be responsible for supporting and developing operations at the company's locations on Funen and in the Triangle Region, as well as the collaboration with the associated companies.

The position has been created as part of the company's long-term succession plan and provides the opportunity to gradually take over greater managerial and operational responsibility.

Your primary tasks

Operations and optimization

• Support and develop the daily operations
• Plan and coordinate production
• Contribute to efficient inventory management and material flow
• Prepare and follow up on KPIs and key figures
• Optimize processes, workflows and resource utilization
• Participate in investment and development projects

Leadership and Collaboration

• Work closely with the Chief of Operations, foremen and department heads
• Contribute to development of employees and the organization
• Participate in staffing and resource planning
• Build experience in managing larger operating units
• Actively join the management team

Quality, Environment and Occupational Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal standards
• Contribute to ongoing development of safety and occupational health culture
• Support the company's ESG and sustainability efforts
• Participate in audits, inspections and improvement activities

Your profile

You are probably experienced from a production, logistics, process or operations company where you have delivered results through leadership and operational management.

Additionally, we expect that you

• Have several years of people management experience
• Have technical insight and understanding of complex operating environments
• Are a licensed mechanical engineer (maskinmester), production technologist, engineer or have an equivalent technical background
• Have experience with process optimization and project management
• Work in a structured way with KPIs, finance and performance monitoring
• Possess good IT skills
• Thrive with many stakeholder contacts
• Hold a Category B driving license

As a person you are robust, analytical and decisive. You are able to create structure in daily life and develop the organization in the longer term.
