About the job

Can you drive and pack a truck with a focus on quality? Then you might be our new employee at the Operational Support Command, the Defence Supply Service Terminal SYD in Skrydstrup.

About us

The Defence Supply Service is part of the Operational Support Command, which is the armed forces' nationwide logistics organization that delivers and stores all forms of supplies to the Defence’s units and personnel.

The Distribution Department is part of the Defence Supply Service, where around 650 employees work across the country.

Terminal SYD, which you will be a part of, is located in Skrydstrup. We have an open, informal tone with mutual respect for one another.

About the position

As an employee, your primary tasks will be transporting daily goods on ring routes across Jutland and Funen. You will also handle loading and unloading of trailers and vehicles, and participate in a shift schedule with evening driving. You will have contact with both customers and colleagues at the terminal, and on the daily routes.

In addition, there is a fruit scheme and access to fitness facilities. We value social interaction as an important value for us.

About you

We would like you to be trained as a goods driver. But if you are unskilled, and you are prepared to take supplementary education and courses as needed, you can certainly be considered for the position.

It is required that you hold a B driving licence. It would be an advantage if you hold a forklift certificate, a C and CE driving license, a driver education certificate, and a valid hazardous goods certificate (ADR).

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have knowledge of the Defence and Defence IT systems.

Responsibility and quality are important values in the Defence, and we expect you to help take responsibility and greatly influence the tasks you are presented with. You must be able to work independently and also collaborate with colleagues and customers, as you will have a broad contact network.

You must have a positive and professional attitude to your work and possess good orderliness. Flexibility is important, as you must be ready to work at changing times.

Employment terms

The appointment is in accordance with the currently applicable Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organisations – The State Sector (OAO-S collective agreement) and the Agreement for cleaners, sanitarians, semi-skilled workers and certain skilled trades in the state, etc. (3F).

The base salary for a trained employee is 28,911.92 DKK per month.

The base salary for an unskilled employee is 26,228.00 DKK per month.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiated allowances. There is an employer-funded pension scheme tied to the position.

The workplace is in Skrydstrup.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance throughout the employment relationship.

As an employee you have an obligation to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.

Contact and application

If you want to hear more about the position, you are welcome to contact the supervisor at Terminal SYD, Per Brommann, on phone 2555 2210.

If you have questions about pay and employment terms, you are welcome to contact the Personnel Command, HR consultant Stinne Strøjr Hansen, on phone 2023 9031.

The application deadline is 3 November 2026, and interviews are expected to be held in connection with this. We would like the position to be filled by 1 December 2026, but we are happy to wait for the right candidate.

You apply for the position via the link, and we ask you to attach your application, CV and a copy of your apprenticeship certificate. Please note that attachments must be added in PDF format.

In the Defence Ministry’s organization, we believe that diversity optimizes task solving. Therefore, we encourage all interested regardless of background to apply for the position.
