REPOST - Child and Youth Counselor sought for a permanent position at the Center for Children and Youth in Næstved Municipality – the Disability Team

The Center for Children and Youth in Næstved Municipality is seeking a professionally skilled and engaged colleague for a position as disability adviser in the authority, affiliated with the Disability Team.

You will be part of a team with 4 administrative case workers, 13 advisers and a team leader.

The target group is children and young people aged 0-23 with substantial disabilities or intrusive disorders.

Your tasks

You will, among other things, work with

• Interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Collaboration and dialogue with parents and involvement of children and young people.
• Assessment and processing of applications for:
• Mapping (§ 19)
• Special day and club offers (BL 82)
• Home training (§ 85)
• Compensation-eligible services (BL § 86)
• Lost earnings (BL § 87)
• Replacement and relief (BL § 90/84)
• Preventive actions (BL § 30 and § 32)
• Child welfare investigations (BL § 20).
• Child disability assessments as well as general advice and guidance.
• Internal sparring and collaboration with other teams in the Center for Children and Youth.

About you

We are looking for a colleague who

• is a social worker or a social mediator.
• would preferably have experience from the children and youth sector and the specialized disability field – this is not a requirement as we ensure thorough training regardless of prior experience.
• has a holistic case-management mindset and can think in alternative solutions.
• can work in a structured and independent way in a busy daily life – even when the calendar must be cleared for urgent tasks.
• has good oral and written communication skills.
• is humorous, tolerant and sees value in lifting together as a team.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement entered into between KL and the negotiating organization.
