Educator for Regnbuen's Nursery in Haslev What makes the youngest children feel safe and dare to try something new? That question is what we work on every day. When a child has to say goodbye in the morning. When two children notice each other during play. And when a child tries something for the first time, something they previously needed help with.

We are looking for a trained educator who wants to be close to these moments and help develop our nursery.

With us, routines are also pedagogy In the nursery a large part of our work takes place in the midst of everyday repetition. A diaper change is also a moment of contact and conversation. A meal provides an opportunity to practice independence and be part of a community. In the cloakroom we must find the balance between helping and giving the child time to try on their own.

We are focused on how we adults create good conditions for the children. How do we distribute ourselves? When should we move closer? And when should we give space?

These are reflections you will be part of as an educator with us.

You should want to explore together with us We work inspired by NEST and start from the premise that children do well when they can. When a child has difficulty participating, we explore what the child needs and what we can change in our way of organizing everyday life.

Maybe an activity should take place with fewer children. Maybe we should make a transition more recognizable. Or maybe we adults should try another way to support the child.

We do not expect you to have all the answers. We would like a colleague who notices the children, asks questions, and contributes to us becoming wiser about our practice.

Your professional skills and your interests should be felt Maybe you are focused on the youngest children's language, on movement or on how little children start to play together. Maybe you enjoy music, stories or outings into nature.

We would love to hear what you are passionate about and how it can fit into the children's everyday life. You will have influence and the opportunity to shape our pedagogical work together with your colleagues.

Regnbuen has two nursery groups and two kindergarten groups. We go on walks and with our cargo bikes and use both the house, the playground and the local area as the framework for the children's experiences.

Collaboration is part of the task As an educator you must both be present with the children and share your observations with your colleagues. We need each other’s perspectives to understand why something works, or to find another way when it becomes difficult.

Parental collaboration also has an important place. Parents should feel that we are curious about their child and that we can tell them about both small progress and what we together should pay attention to.

You may be newly qualified. You may also have experience and questions about the way we usually do things. The most important thing is that you want to work with the youngest children and want to participate in our shared professional responsibility.
