About the job

Would you like to help ensure high operational reliability and technical development at one of Denmark's most advanced energy and waste-to-energy plants?

ARC is seeking an electrical-technical specialist with an electrical and automation background for Amager Bakke. You will become a central part of the Facilities department, where you will be responsible for translating technical knowledge into stable operation, efficient maintenance solutions and a professional collaboration with external suppliers.

The position spans from daily operations support, technical development of the plant and management of the suppliers who contribute to maintenance and projects. We are looking for a person who is passionate about technology and operations, and who sees it as a natural part of the job to continually develop their skills and acquire new knowledge about the plant, technology and work methods.

Your responsibilities

In close collaboration with colleagues in Facilities, Production and external partners you will, among other things, work with:

  • Ensuring high availability and operational reliability of process plants and technical installations.
  • Technical support to the operations organization in case of faults, optimizations and complex issues.
  • Maintenance, development and optimization of process instrumentation, electrical and automation systems.
  • Operation, maintenance and further development of SRO, PLC and control systems.
  • Planning, coordination and follow-up on external service and maintenance contracts.
  • Technical dialogue with suppliers about fault finding, improvements and extending the service life of plant components.
  • Budget and resource management within own areas of responsibility.
  • Technical project management from analysis and specification to implementation and commissioning.
  • Ensuring that plants and installations comply with applicable legal requirements and technical standards.
  • Responsibility for selected electrical engineering areas.
  • ABA, sprinkler and fire monitoring systems.

Your profile

You have an electrical-technical background as an electrician, industrial electrician, automation technician, electrical installer, marine engineer (maskinmester) or engineer or equivalent. The most important is not your title, but your technical understanding, interest in operations and willingness to continually develop your skills.

We imagine that you

  • Have experience with or interest in electrical engineering installations, instrumentation and automation.
  • Have knowledge of or interest in PLC-, SRO- and regulatory/control systems.
  • Can translate operational challenges into robust and practical solutions.
  • Thrive in collaboration between operations staff, technicians, specialists and external suppliers.
  • Have an interest in technical documentation, planning and follow-up.

What kind of person are you?

You are passionate about technology and operations and are motivated by delivering results through collaboration. You naturally take responsibility for your tasks and areas of responsibility, drive them and see them through. You also thrive in an environment where learning and professional development are a natural part of daily life.

You are curious by nature and have a desire to continually develop your skills and acquire new knowledge to support a modern and technologically advanced plant.

At the same time you are service-minded and professional in collaboration with the plant's external suppliers and partners. You understand the value of strong relationships and actively contribute to constructive collaboration.

You work in a structured way and are able to maintain an overview in an environment where operations, technology, economy and safety must be balanced.

We offer

  • Responsibility for critical technical plants with great importance to operations and the opportunity to influence the plant's technical development.
  • Close collaboration with both the operations organization and specialized suppliers.
  • A strong professional environment with skilled and engaged colleagues.
  • Good opportunities for professional and personal development.
  • The position is 37 hours per week with salary and employment terms according to applicable ARC agreements.
  • Employee benefits including a gym and group training, physiotherapy and reflexology, subsidies for a lunch scheme, as well as social activities and events.
