About the job

Are you passionate about working with the aquatic environment, and would you like to work with regulatory tasks? Then our open position might be something for you.

We are looking for an engaged colleague who has competencies within our area. Maybe you know something about water quality in the harbor and the Oresund, about bathing water, discharge permits, climate adaptation or wastewater. It could be that you have experience from other parts of the industry and would like to try working as an authority.

The job and your tasks

Our tasks are very diverse and all revolve around the aquatic environment. Your tasks will as a rule be in our Marine Team. You will work with discharge permits and participate in the Marine Team's other tasks depending on your competencies.

The team’s tasks include, among others

  • discharge permits – smaller and time-limited permits in connection with construction and civil engineering projects
  • discharge permits – more complex permits, including for example heavy rain tunnels, climate adaptation projects and the Nordhavnstunnelen and discharges from treatment plants etc.
  • permits to affect polluted sediment, among other things in connection with harbor construction projects
  • tasks in the bathing water area as the bathing water authority
  • supervision of water quality in the harbor and the Øresund and handling of pollution cases
  • responses to inquiries about questions within our area
  • initiation of various investigations in the harbor, conducted by a consultant to support our work, and because we also have a focus on biodiversity

We experience that there is great interest in our work with the aquatic environment in the municipality, and we are often involved in developing and rethinking, especially in relation to flood risk work. It requires that we are solution-oriented and at the same time can uphold the environmental requirements that the legislation frames.

About you

We expect that you have relevant education within the environmental field. In addition, we expect that you

  • have knowledge of and preferably experience within the environmental and wastewater area in a public administration
  • are motivated by a strong professional community and can keep several balls in the air
  • are good at teamwork, but can also work independently
  • are good at articulating yourself in Danish, both written and spoken, and can explain technical issues understandably
  • take shared responsibility for your tasks, both in daily operations and the team’s development
  • provide good service to those we cooperate with, both internally in the administration, citizens, private developers and supply companies
  • have experience with the relevant legislation in the area
  • can work within the framework of a politically governed organization
