You will be challenged and have room to develop

As an air military analyst in FE you will deliver intelligence analyses that form the basis for military and operational decisions. Your work helps ensure that the Defence and relevant ministries get the most precise understanding of the air military situation based on FE’s information and data.

The work is carried out both independently and in interdisciplinary teams with participation from other parts of FE and from national and international partners. Our products are communicated both in writing and verbally.

With us you will become part of a dynamic department where we every day work with collecting and analysing information about military activities and provide support to tasks of strategic importance for the Defence. You will enter a varied environment with a mix of substantial experience and a lot of drive, but everyone works together on a common task.

You and your background are important

We are looking for a military analyst with knowledge in either air or air defence operations. You have the ability and the desire to work independently with complex analytical tasks. You must prepare analyses for customers and international partners, and be able to engage in dialogue about the analysis.

We expect that you

• Have well-developed analytical abilities.
• Have an air military background, including understanding and interest in air military operations and air defence.
• Demonstrate overview, stability, patience and systematic thinking.
• Are professionally curious and eager to learn.
• Communicate clearly in writing and speech and can present complex issues in an understandable way.
• Master English at a negotiator’s level, both orally and in writing.
• Can acquire new IT systems as a working tool.
• Have good collaboration skills.

The Danish Defence Intelligence Service (FE) is Denmark’s foreign intelligence service and works – secretly and openly – to protect Denmark and Danish interests in a changing world.

Your salary package depends on your qualifications

The position is filled in accordance with the protocol to the state agreement for academics regarding officers under the Ministry of Defence and the position is placed in salary grade 4, which includes captain-lieutenants/captains.

If you are already employed in the Ministry of Defence’s Group, you will continue to be employed under the applicable agreements between the Ministry of Defence’s Personnel Agency and the Danish Officers’ Organisation on pay and terms of employment for civil service or unionized officers in the Defence.

If you are selected for deployment in international operations, please indicate this in your application.

As an employee of FE you are subject to some special terms. It is a requirement that you can obtain and maintain a security clearance during your entire employment. As in the rest of the Defence, you have a duty to undertake short-term deployments abroad.
