About the position

Do you want to sing and be part of a living musical community?

St. Michael's Church seeks 1 bass for the church choir. As a bass you will be part of an active musical environment, where you participate in high mass, baptism services, weddings and funerals – as well as weekday services on request.

The position provides both fixed frameworks and great flexibility, while giving you the opportunity for musical development and participation in larger works such as Handel's Messiah .

Scope of the position

• Sing at Sunday mass at 10.00–11.15 with preliminary choir rehearsal at 9.15 – approx. every other weekend
• Baptism services, funerals and weddings on Saturdays by arrangement
• Funerals and weekday services Monday–Friday on request

Professional qualifications / prerequisites

• Classical choral experience is an advantage
• Basic skills in reading music notation
• Preferably a classically trained voice
• It is advantageous if you can also sing in other voice sections, but most important is your desire and interest in choral singing
• Experience with choral singing or church music is an advantage, but not a requirement
• No requirements for certificates or driver's license

Personal qualifications

• Reliable attendance and good at collaborating in a choir community
• Curious, engaged and motivated for musical communities
• Willing to develop musically – or try your hand at choral singing
