Experienced Dispatcher for National Road Transport – with a focus on Funen and Jutland

At BHS Logistics we are looking for a professionally strong dispatcher who wants to take over the control of our routes on Funen and in Jutland – and who is ready to fill some very special boundaries.

Big shoes to fill – and plenty of room for your ideas

In our national road transport department you will have a central key role in a dedicated and well-functioning team. Specifically you shall carry on the legacy of a highly valued colleague who, after more than 30 years in the position, is stepping down. It is undoubtedly big shoes to fill, but it also testifies to a workplace with long tenure, stability and strong cohesion. We ensure a thorough handover and at the same time give you full freedom to put your own mark on the routes going forward.

Your primary tasks

With reference to the department head you will be responsible for ensuring smooth, profitable and reliable transports:

• Daily planning, optimization and coordination of transports with a primary focus on Funen and Jutland
• Close dialogue and strong collaboration with hauliers, drivers and regular customers
• Route and capacity optimization, where you balance high customer service with sound cost awareness
• Ongoing monitoring, proactive problem solving and follow-up on deviations
• Handling of various types of goods – including piece goods, part loads and temperature-sensitive shipments

Who are you?

We are looking for a colleague with solid experience in the bag, who stays calm when everyday life gets busy:

• Trained freight forwarder or equivalent practical background in transport and logistics
• Documented experience with national dispatch is a requirement. If you specifically know the traffic on Funen and in Jutland, that is a major plus (experience from Zealand is also an excellent starting point)
• Good commercial sense, attention to detail and a sharp overview
• Strong collaboration skills and a professional, solution-oriented communication approach towards both hauliers and customers
• Good command of Danish and English - both written and spoken

• Workplace: Our preferred location is Køge, but it could also be possible to instead have a fixed base at our location in Odense.
• Terms: Fair employment terms with salary according to qualifications, flexible benefit account, pension scheme and health insurance. Employment under a collective agreement.
• Working hours: Fixed daytime hours in the period 06:00–18:00 after further agreement.
