Experienced landscape architect for a 3-year position in Gladsaxe Municipality

We are looking for a fifth team member in the Landscape Group for a versatile everyday life, exciting tasks and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

The Landscape Group works to create exciting urban spaces, strengthen the green city image, create varied urban nature and higher biodiversity and not least develop opportunities for movement, urban life and communities for the citizens in Gladsaxe Municipality. With us there is room to grow professionally and personally and a focus on you as an employee with monthly 1:1 meetings with the team leader.

In the Landscape Group, tasks include, for example

• Concrete smaller construction projects such as greening a street corner
• Strategic projects such as climate handling, development of Bagsværd City Center and Søborg Hovedgade’s urban space
• Being client and project manager on construction projects on the municipality’s public areas, including playgrounds, to realize the Council's ambitious plans for a greener city
• Carry out inclusive processes in larger and smaller projects
• Provide professional input to local plans and building cases
• Contribute your green expertise as input to plans, projects and tasks in other disciplines
• Handle applications for lending of municipal public areas and respond to citizens’ inquiries

Who are you?

You will fit well into the team if you

• Are educated as a landscape architect
• Have at least 1 year of experience from a municipality and at least 1 year from a construction company
• Have experience with the construction of playgrounds
• Can make quick, independent decisions about anything from replacing a tree, a piece of play equipment or a new bench
• Seek common solutions for the citizens’ best and can view a good compromise as a win
• Like variation in both short tasks and those spanning several years
• You can manage several projects at once and maintain an overview in a busy daily life
• Have good plant knowledge and a sense for quality in the choice of material and form
• Are creative and positive in collaborations, and when good solutions to professional problems must be found

In addition, it is important that you enjoy the sense of community, the professional sparring both at the desk and cross-disciplinary in the administration. You are proactive and can ensure progress in your tasks and know when to involve various relevant parties and management in solving your tasks. Finally, you should have the desire and willingness to work with Architecture Policy and the strategy Our Green Gladsaxe as the basis for your daily work.

Our workplace at the Town Hall

You will become part of the Landscape Group in the Byplan og Landskab team totaling 14 people, where Byplan works with physical planning: local plans, municipal plan, master plans etc., in which the Landscape Group contributes. In addition, we are in the department with the Building Case Team, which consists of 13 people. The City Department is one of six departments in the City and Environment Administration.

In the City and Environment Administration we believe that influence on planning and solving tasks, as well as informal, but clear, leadership, contribute to well-being. We emphasize trust and mutual flexibility with respect for the fact that work life and private life must be in balance and give meaning for all parties.

The departments are run by a management group, which is focused on cross-department collaboration in the administration and also prioritizes cross-disciplinary collaboration with the other administrations highly.

Salary and employment terms

You will be employed in a 3-year full-time position.

Salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement with the possibility to negotiate allowances based on qualifications.
