About the job

Imagine a everyday life where you can work with testing of complex IT systems that have great societal relevance. You will have the opportunity to use your solid testing experience, while the job provides many development opportunities. Does that sound like something for you? Then you may be our new Test Manager in the debt area at the Development and Simplification Agency.

The Development and Simplification Agency (UFST) operates and develops society-critical IT systems. You will join a team that runs a number of business-critical components that support the state's debt collection. A well-functioning debt collection is a cornerstone of Danish society, and you will contribute directly to that task.

About the job

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager for the Debt Systems 2 office. As a Test Manager you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for planning, managing and executing test activities related to the operation and further development of a business-critical component in the domain.

You will become a key profile in maintaining high quality and reliability in our solutions, and therefore you should be able to bring your experience with test planning, management and quality assurance into play in a complex system landscape with both colleagues and external consultants.

We are looking for a colleague who can fill the role of a “playing coach” – a profile that can set the direction for the testing work, but who also can operate hands-on and take on close test tasks when needed.

Your tasks include the following

  • Preparation of test plans and planning of test activities.
  • Ensure responsible test coverage of testable business requirements through the right weighting of unit tests, A-tests, integration tests and exploratory testing.
  • Active participation in operational testing work, including preparation of test cases and execution in periods where testing requires extra hands.
  • Operational responsibility for quality assurance and testing.
  • Coordination with suppliers and internal partners.
  • Draft test strategies and test reports in collaboration with, among others, QA and the business.

About you

We imagine that you have several years of experience as a Test Manager and are used to working in large and complex IT projects. We would like you to have a relevant educational background – e.g. cand.it, data technician, data scientist or similar – but your practical experience weighs at least as much. A certification within digital test standards e.g. ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, TMAP is an advantage but not a requirement.

You have solid knowledge of quality standards and procedures for test execution and can translate them into practice in complex projects. As a Test Manager you will have a broad interface – both to internal colleagues and to our suppliers – in connection with planning, preparation and execution of tests. Therefore, it is important that you are good at collaboration and communicate clearly and precisely at all levels.

In addition, we expect that you have experience with

  • Preparation of test cases and test execution
  • Planning, management and reporting on test activities in larger projects
  • Risk-based testing and quality assurance in complex IT environments
  • Use of digital test standards
  • Tools for test management and documentation as well as establishment and development of test processes
  • Relevant tools and technologies, e.g. GitHub, Groovy, Java, Spock, Postman, SOAP UI etc., and able to work comfortably in Jira and Confluence.

We offer

  • A professionally strong environment, where you become part of a dedicated team with responsibility for testing.
  • A central role in projects with high societal relevance and political attention.
  • Opportunity to influence the testing work and implement common methods and standards across projects.
  • A collaborative work environment with skilled colleagues and external consultants.
  • Good opportunities for professional and personal development in an exciting organization.

Your new workplace?

In the Debt Systems 2 office we value high professionalism and a good work climate. Here you will have the opportunity to contribute actively and make your mark on our work. The office today consists of 24 employees who work with operation and development. We are responsible for a number of business-critical components that play a central role in the debt domain. We work closely across offices and professional areas in the debt area with both internal specialists and external suppliers – always with common goals and strong cohesion.

You will receive thorough introduction and training so you can quickly work independently on the tasks. Your tasks will vary and give you good opportunities for personal and professional development. You will be assigned a buddy who will introduce you to the business, your tasks and the systems. In addition, you will also become part of a network with other newly hired colleagues in the Debt domain, which provides you with networking and knowledge sharing opportunities.

The Development and Simplification Agency has a well-functioning staff association with a committee of clubs and activities, a well-used gym, Friday bar and social events where we as employees have the opportunity to network with each other – also outside the usual boundaries.
