About the job
Do you want to create results through people, customers and good relationships?
And do you have solid experience with corporate customers and a desire to set direction for both employees and the business?
As Commercial Banking Director you will be part of the leadership team in North Zealand Business. Together we are responsible for four experienced teams that advise a wide range of customers. This includes local companies, larger national and international corporate customers and customers within Corporate Real Estate.
We will continue to strengthen our position in North Zealand and realize the business potential we see in the market. Therefore we are looking for a leader who can combine business understanding and market orientation with close and clear leadership.
About the role
You will have direct managerial responsibility for 25 employees. Together with the other leaders you are responsible for the overall department and for creating clear direction across employees, customers and business.
In the leadership team we share tasks and use each other for sparring. You will influence both daily priorities and the long-term development of North Zealand Business.
Your key tasks will be to
- set a clear direction and translate strategy into concrete priorities and actions
- be close to the daily life of the employees and follow up on both well-being, development and results
- promote employees' professional and personal development through ongoing sparring and clear feedback
- create a framework for a work environment with engagement, collaboration and high professional quality
- develop the business with existing customers and help establish new customer relationships
- be close to the market and translate opportunities into concrete customer activities
- increase collaboration with the bank's other departments and relevant specialists
Management is a significant part of your task. You will also be responsible for a defined client portfolio. The size and complexity of the portfolio will be adapted to your managerial responsibility and experience, so there is a realistic balance between management, customers and market activities.
Your initial focus in the job
In the first period it will be particularly important that you
- get to know the employees, customers and the market
- create clear priorities together with the rest of the leadership team
- build trusting relationships with the employees
- identify concrete opportunities to develop existing and new customer relationships
- contribute to increasing collaboration with the local branches in North Zealand
You achieve good results in the role when employees experience leadership that is clear and close, when professional environments develop, and when we collectively create high customer satisfaction as well as healthy and profitable growth.
Your profile
There may be several paths to the job.
You may already have experience as a leader. You may also be an experienced business professional who has shown that you can build followership, develop others and take responsibility, and who is now ready for the next step. You must have experience from the financial sector – including banking or mortgage, and have a solid commercial foundation, good business sense and a clear motivation to create results through others.
In your leadership we emphasize that you
- have self-awareness and use feedback to develop yourself and others
- can create overview, set direction and translate complex issues into clear priorities
- are eager to make decisions and have the necessary conversations
- create energy and momentum and follow up on what we decide
- meet employees and customers with understanding, curiosity and respect
- are motivated to create value for people, customers and the business
We do not expect you to check all boxes from day one. The most important for us is your solid professional foundation, your desire to lead and your potential to develop in the role.
Department and team
North Zealand Business consists of 25 colleagues distributed across four teams. With you we are three leaders who together are responsible for creating direction, development and results across the department.
In the leadership team we each contribute with different competencies and experiences. We use open sparring and make the most important decisions about the department's direction and priorities together. It is therefore important that you bring your observations and perspectives to help develop both the leadership team and the entire department.
Your base will be in Hillerød, where North Zealand Business carries out its daily operations together with the bank's other branches in North Zealand. The local branches are an important entry point to the market, and together we develop relationships with existing customers and establish new customer relationships.
