Experienced communications officer for the Faculty of Health Sciences

The health sector is rapidly developing, and at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Aarhus University our research and education help shape the future health system. It cannot succeed without good communication.

We are seeking a new communications officer who, together with skilled colleagues, will disseminate knowledge and results to the outside world and contribute to internal communication that provides direction and overview across the faculty.

You must be able to independently take responsibility for large and complex communication tasks, advise leaders and professionals on communication, write sharply about complex topics, and navigate safely in a large organization with strong professional environments.

We expect that you have experience with both internal and external communication within the health and/or education sector.

Your main tasks

• Plan and carry out communication initiatives together with colleagues, professional environments and the faculty's top management
• Advise leaders and professionals on communication, messages and target groups, including in difficult or sensitive cases
• Write and edit content for internal and external audiences and develop stories from scratch, including articles, press releases and content for digital channels
• Strengthen others’ communication through advice, sparring, presentations and concrete tools

You

• have a relevant advanced education and a minimum of five years of experience with professional communication
• have solid experience with communication advisory and planning
• work independently and highly systematically
• write at a high level and can convey complex professional material clearly, precisely and relevantly, also in English
• dare to challenge leaders and professionals based on communication expertise
• can create good collaborative relationships and get people on board across disciplines and organizational boundaries
• contribute to solving the ongoing communication tasks and contribute, also when tasks are smaller and more practical

About us

You will be part of the Communications Department at the Faculty of Health Sciences. We are ten communications officers with different areas of expertise who work with both internal and external communication.

We have high ambitions on behalf of the subject and the faculty and believe that there are many ways to solve the tasks. We are convinced that there is communication in everything. Imagination and creativity are a significant driving force, and when we miss a beat, it is an opportunity for learning. We are more nerdy and informal than the average and have a soft spot for large freedom degrees.

About the position

The position is full-time with expected commencement January 1, 2027 .
